this was originally a deck to play for fun, but since i like it a lot, i would like suggestions on how to make it a competitive deck.

I saw a particularly good Ice Barrier deck once which used E-Hero Ice Edge, Super Poly and Absolute Zero to good effect. The Ice Barrier component of his deck was mainly getting Gantala and Medium into the grave, throwing down Prior, using him to summon Gantala and then Gantala to summon Medium. If they died, he'd either summon another Prior from his hand (usually searched out by Medallion) or use the spell card, Surface, to resurrect it, and begin again.

I'd also recommend maxing out your extra deck: at the moment, it's very much a themed Extra Deck, but if you want to be properly competitive you need to fill up the space with as wide a variety of cards as possible, to allow you to cover all eventualities.
