Once in a year Castle Stahleck is the place where dedicated gamers come together from all directions of the world to enter the Tourney of Stahleck. The focus is on the LCG line by Fantasy Flight Games, but there is also a good number of fantastic (not only) FFG boardgames.
In the heart of this event the European Championships for AGOT, COC and WHI will be played. So you can expect some thrilling games on the highest competive level next to some fun tournaments, casual games and boardgames sessions.
When?
8. October (starting 2 p.m.) to 10. October 2010 (ending 4 p.m.) (if someone wants to come earlier or wants to stay another night, just contact the tourney magistrate.
Where?
Castle Stahleck: This castle lies in the small town Bacharach; thats in the middle of Germany, some 50 km south of Koblenz and 50 km west of Mainz.
Costs
85 Euro: in a multiple bed room (4 - 10 beds) with shower/toillette in the room.
75 Euro: in a multiple bed room (4 - 10 beds) with shower/toillette on the floor.
The cost is per person for the whole weekend, including accomodation (2 nights), all meals, coffee/tea for free, tourney fees (except draft), free WLAN.
Registration
The period of registration starts at the 1st of May 2010 and lasts till 1st October 2010.
The number of beds is limited, so it might be good to register soon.
All you need to do is send an email to the tourney magistrate.

- favourite LCG (AGOT, COC, WHI)
- country you are representing
You will get an answer with confirmation and payment information.
Transfer the money within 2 weeks and you are registered.

- german or austrian bank account
- paypal (add 4 Euro for paypal fees)
How to get there
By car:
Driving on the German Highway A61, you take the exit named "Rheinboellen". From there you go on in direction to Bacharach. You reach Castle Stahleck via Bacharach-Steeg. There are many parking slots next to the castle.
Railway:
Bacharach lies on the railway track Mainz - Koblenz. From the station to the castle it is a walk of 20 minutes.
german railway service (in english): Deutsche Bahn
By plane:
There are several big airports in the near: Koeln/Bonn, Duesseldorf, Frankfurt and Frankfurt/Hahn. You will find good train connections to Castle Stahleck from there.
Koeln/Bonn: about 2 hours for 29 euro (or more).
Duesseldorf: about 2 and a half hour for 24 euro (or more).
Frankfurt: about 1 hour for 15 euro (or more).
Frankfurt/Hahn is closest (about 35 km) but without direct train connection. If you are a bunch of players its best to take a taxi (for about 70 euro). Otherwise be prepared for a quite long trip with bus&train.
Costs for participants without accomodation and meals
Friday: 10 euro, Saturday: 15 euro, Sunday: 10 euro
Friday / Saturday: 22 euro, Saturday / Sunday: 22 euro
Friday / Saturday / Sunday: 28 euro
(including all tourney fees and free coffee/tee)
