This was built to be a joke right?

Seriously? I mean you can't even fit on that on a card. Let alone just being, well, I'll leave that to myself and assume this is just a joke.

COST UP! In the discussion on the Dream Card "COST UP!" by mikeyw20 United States send message

Actually, for what you're trying to do, the wording is wrong.

It's the same thing as trying to activate Mask of Restrict in chain to prevent a Tribute Summon, YOU CAN'T.

Not to mention, the monster's Tribute cost was already paid, so all you did was pump the Star Level of it on field AFTER it was summoned.

For this sort of card, a better way to put it would be "When your opponent Tribute Summons a monster, they must tribute another monster they control. Otherwise, negate that monster's Summoning and destroy it."

Effectively making it into a reversed Horn of Heaven, because the way you're doing it, it's not a reversed Cost Down (especially since if you made it a Counter Trap).

If you really do want a reverse Cost Down, it should be a Normal Trap (similar to Threatening Roar or A Feint Plan), or a Continuous Trap leaving a "Cost Up" blanketing effect on the field so it actually will hit the cards IN THEIR HAND.

Normal Trap Version: After activation, upgrade all Monster Cards in your opponent's hand by 2 Levels until the End Phase of the turn this card is activated.

(This leaves the card with the as the same as the real Cost Down and works with timing the same as cards like Threatening Roar, as in you have to activate it some time BEFORE your opponent might use a Tribute. So best to use it during their Standby Phase or some time when you might not want their monsters to be a certain level.

Or the Continuous Trap version (which is inherently a cheaper "cheatier" version of itself): As long as this card remains face-up on the field, upgrade all Monster Cards in your opponent's hand by 2 Levels.

Take in point, there's a reason there's no Continuous version of Cost Down, it would be seen as rather broken. You're not the only person who thought of this sort of card (I know for certain I made something like this last year, not on this site obviously).

If you feel I missed something or you disagree with my point of view, make it known here or write me directly about it. I make a lot of my own cards with proxies (a few of them are on this site, very few). A lot of people come to me for advice since I know rulings and mechanics very well.

Phantom The Shadow Monarch In the discussion on the Dream Card "Phantom The Shadow Monarch" by kwmwtaj United States

No it doesn't...

Notice they haven't repeated effects that strike monsters?

Zaborg destroys 1 monster.
Mobius = 2 M/T cards
Thestalos = discard + damage
Granmarg = 1 face-down card
and Raiza = bouncing 1 card + deck disruption

RFGing a monster would be ultimately pointless with Zaborg around (and you would have to RFG Phantom himself if he's alone).

Token, not counter.

Tokens are faux monsters, counters are the effect mechanic for pricing effects of things. Breaker makes counters, Scapegoat makes tokens.

Summoning REQUIREMENTS?

Since when did Cyber Dragon have Summoning Requirements?

It has an effect for pulling it faster, but nothing stops you from pulling Cyber Dragon out other ways including Normal, Tribute and other forms of Special Summon.

Basically, I'm just saying the Requirements part is unnecessary and buzzwordy.

Do you even know who the Goddess Nephthys is? There's a reason it's a resurrection effect on Phoenix (besides being a Phoenix).

I give it a 1 until you edit your wording.

It can't be Special Summoned huh? But yet, the next line it can be through a card...

You might want to edit the whole line of text if you want to be taken seriously.

So it's just Forest Guardian Green Baboon, but for Dragon and it works from deck and hand instead of hand or graveyard.

No it wouldn't... it's still just as killable as any other monsters, it can be affected by things that don't target.

Anyway... where are the Fusion Materials?

It's cool, except that luck and Destiny don't work or even mix together.

There are no luck-based cards in the D-Hero set and the theme follows that predetermined thing hard.

So let me get this straight...

For a monster will no hint of difficulty...

With the text you have written, you use this one card and you get potentially FOUR monsters for a total of ...

Platinum himself, the DW you pull, the DW you discard for and obviously pull, and the DW you get for discarding a DW.

All in a single turn, with priority...

And that's fair to you?
