Most of these cards are not Standard legal. This deck would have to be in either the Legacy or Vintage format.

(In case you didn't get my message on email via tco)

Try Dash Hopes, Dazzling Reflection, Tribute to Hunger, Harsh Sustenance, Batwing Brume, Chastise, Tendrils of Corruption or Unholy Hunger.

Hope these suggestions help.

Also, try to add some draw power. From our games, I notice your hand depletes pretty quickly.

Thanks for correcting me on that. I switched those out for 2 more plains and 2 more swamps. Why 60 cards?

Just a heads up, Defense of the Heart isn't Modern-legal. It was never printed in a core or expert set after 8th Edition. It'd probably be best to either take it out or change your listed format to something older.

Deathreap Ritual and Tainted Wood aren't legal in Modern. Ritual's only printing was in Conspiracy, and Tainted Wood's last set printing was Torment. Just because a card has a modernized card frame doesn't mean it's Modern legal; Modern includes cards that have had at least one printing in core- or expert sets from 8th Edition onward, NOT including special products like Conspiracy or preconstructed decks. You can search Modern-legal cards at the Gatherer (link in image below).

Demonic Tutor is not legal in Modern. It's even outright banned in Legacy and restricted in Vintage. As a rule for future reference, if a card has not had a printing in a core- or expert-set from 8th Edition to today, it is not legal in Modern even if it has a modernized card frame. That will also include Counterspell and Sol Ring that are printed in special products rather than core- or expert-sets.

The goal of this deck is speed mainly against control decks. There's a big weakness to this deck and that's token spamming. The idea of this deck is if your mana strangled you can still work with 2 red and 2 black mana. I often get low amounts of mana and my timing is always off that's why I prefer this style of playing Extensive offense and win the game quickly. my decks never include side boards because I don't know how to use them effectively at all. 2 Cremates were in the original deck to keep pesky creature cards from coming back from the grave.

This review doesn't really review anything. It completely ignored the importance of the card in Modern Affinity and its applications in Vintage in combo decks. And downplays its effect entirely.

This review shows the reviewers lack of knowledge. This review is useless in the cards applications, history, and actual usefulness.

Profit & Loss, Courtly Provocateur, Gwafa Hazid, and Necrotic Plague are the only Modern-legal spells in this entire deck. All other nonland cards you've assembled are not Modern-legal and cannot be played in the format. Either change your format or change the deck.
