Divine Harpies YuGiOh! In the discussion on the Deck "Divine Harpies" by byakuyauchiha United States

Hey. Thanks Willy for the vote. Not to sound too arrogant, but it was better not to vote my deck at all then to skew it with a 3 rating. This is a powerful deck and a complete nightmare if the player goes first. This deck has beaten books, mermails, darkworld, six sams, evilswarm, and it rivals E. dragons. This new Harpie version thins my deck quickly and efficiently and the side deck matches against any tier 1 deck. At first glance, an unsuspecting or inexperience player would balk or be confused by the unlimited possibilities and I'm guessing this description fits your case. Take care.

Thank you all for voting. I did not expect that this deck would be that good, but your vote of confidence makes me want to experiment more with it. Thanks again!!

duel against me plz

Thanks friend. Good catch. I would duel you, but your deck is not OCG. It is traditional because of your raigeki. Either lose the card or change your deck to Traditional. Lost raigeki and then we can duel.

I purely understand your concern on defense. However, my deck is like Gaara of Naruto. It has defense and offense in it. I don't need traps because every turn I can counter most agressions. I can push through my opponents traps and quickplays and still not take a lot of damage while exhausting their hand and thus options. I'll play this deck against your best deck and I can show better than tell.

Well this deck is still experimental, but has great potential against non-Meta and other slower pace decks. Here are some combos:

1. The most devastating is the - The Immortal of Thunder + Spell of Pain. Flip effect on TIOT gains you 3000 life points. Now send this card to the graveyard with a card effect or battle and you lose 5000 life points. But wait, Spell of Pain deliveries that to your opponent instead for a huge hit!

2. Another combo - Spell of Pain + Number 30 Acid Golem. 2000 pt pop to your opponent instead of detaching or taking the hit yourself.

3. Of course the main combo - Gift cards + Nurse Reficule the Fallen One or Bad Reaction to Simochi. Super quick, wicked knock out!

4. 2X Lava Golem for a 1000 pop every opponent's stand-by. Even better than that, you can get rid of those pesky, hard to kill monsters on your opponent's side with the special summon tribute. Hard to xyz or sync summon at least on the opponent's next turn.

5. 2 Marshmallons - Of course we know what they can do. 1000 pop if opponent attacks facedown and cannot be killed on battle. Great stall card.

6. 3X giant germ & Secret barrels to deplete life points even more.

7. Morphing jar reloads your hand and usually finishes off the opponent. Need I say more?

8. Last but not least, the Mecca of this deck in my opinion (sort of a reload card for monsters). Metaion, the Timelord - virtually cannot be destroyed and gets shuffled back into your deck to use again. It returns all monster cards to the hand for a 300 per monster pop. Nice!

Right you are my friend! 40 cards to get to that combo, but its a monster once it is pulled off and game over if done 2X.

quote from danebeaman:

this is a good start a deck..

somethings that need some work

in the advanced format you cannot use: Even in your side deck
>>> Harpie's Feather Duster
>>> Pot of Greed
>>> Cyber Jar
>>> Change of Heart

*** Your extra/side decks can only consist of 15 cards no more than that

I understand; however, I play mostly traditional decks and they will pop a pot of greed, change of heart, or cyber jar on me. It's only fair that I can use those same cards as well if i choose too. At least my deck start out advanced. The amount of opponents that I can duel and are willing to duel me on this site is very limited (mostly traditional).

Thank you for taking the time to vote on this deck. It wins me enough duels, but i need a little more pop to advance this deck further.

quote from crystalfeet:

I like the set up of your spells and traps more than anything else, it's might be good or band to run the solemn brigade but at least side those bro's
Monsters on the other hand need to be more balanced
Hillen is basically a slumbering monster and needs to be in the grave meaning you must tribute summon it, since i don't see how else it's gonna get there
Then your darkness neosphere is also gonna slow you down due to the lack of fiends. I suggest you play more into xyz with those tour guides which are easier to get out. Run goblindgerh(not sure if i spelled correctly, but he lets you special summon a lv 4 or lower monster).
Try removing those tomato's or reduce them to 2, not everyone still play beatdown.
Get yourself to synchro or xyz faster to high level/rank monsters to gain field control. cause cards like hyperion etc will maul your deck

Thank you for your feedback. It was very informative and I will get on the ball in improving as you suggested. Thanks again.

Nice little deck I suggest adding a more powerful monster to your deck thought

Thanks Rex. I totally agree with you, but I have been losing brain cells over what tribute effect monster I can add. My rats and tour guide allow me to mostly xyz and sync summon easily with this deck. Black Rose Dragon can start the field over if I need to (mainly on mp2) and have the option of special summoning again (same turn) for defense. I'll keep trying for that irresistible high-powered monster to add. Thanks again.
