Hmmm... I'm surprised I missed that. Especially since I always disliked that Jiraiya because it couldn't combo with Naruto [Reliance].

Not a bad deck, but you need to add a little more trainer search (put 'ball' in the card search). Also, a LV.X Pokemon can only be put onto another Pokemon of the same name (Flygon LV.X can only be put on a normal Flygon, not a Vibrava).

You have way too many Pokemon and not enough Supporters/Trainers. I would take out a Pokemon line or two, so you can also cut down your Energies.

Um... why do you have Blastoise but no Squirtle and Wartortle? Also, why do you have MEGA Blastoise EX but not Blastosie EX? In case you don't know, a Stage 2 can only be put in play by Evolving a specific Stage 1 into it, and an MEGA EX can only be put in play by Mega Evolving a specific EX into it.

Thx for the 5 rating! Btw, I didn't actually didn't need to investigate the card or do any extra research, because I had all of those strategies and cards memorized (except their card numbers, perhaps). I was really into this game near its end...

Or with Jiraiya Childhood or a turn 5 Jiraiya, it's possible to get Sage Mode in play on turn 5, but this is rather difficult without using things like Archrival (which could be sped up by playing the Mission searching turn 0 Kiba N832).


True, but I wrote this review around Avenger's Wrath. I just never added in post-AvW cards.

As for the Jiraiya Childhood and Kushina combo, I guess I was keeping it for myself That's the combo I use in my 4.6 Sage Mode deck.

Pretty good build, but I would consider taking out Chimera and Ame Orphans for something else. I used to think they were good too, but as I played them I realized they're effects are actually contradictory to Pain's strategy. Also, Animal Path TP crushes Animal Path POP, IMO.

The God cards... seriously?

At least add in the legal versions with their effects, lol. Even if you could play the original copies, they're horrible cards because they have no effects (meaning Slifer and Ra have 0 ATK and DEF).

One of the main points I was trying to cover in this review was that succeeding with Jiraiya Sage Mode doesn't take a perfect hand. Most of the cards that I suggested adding in a Sage Mode deck are search cards, so—like any deck—you just need a good, balanced hand to win.

Yeah, I thought of switching out a Rare Candy for another Water right after I logged out, so I didn't feel like logging back in again right away, lol. As for Keldeo EX, I only added in a few copies as a tech against fast decks.
