Playable once a referendum has been announced. The referendum has been blocked. Choose an untapped vampire controled by a Methusalah other than that of the acting minion. Combat begins between the acting vampire and the choosen vampire. The acting vampire may not play cards to end combat in the first round.

"Oh, sorry! I didn't mean to um... interrupt anything... I was just on my way to Elysium and I happened down this allyway..."

I just love the image of a poor little vampire heading down to Elysium to call a referendum and happening, by accident, to catch another vampire at just the wrong time, then having the hell beaten out of him...

I think this card could exist if changed to something like this:

Name: Political Trap
Type: Reaction
Requires: Titled Vampire (Could be Lasombra or Giovanni too)
Only usable when a political action is blocked. Play before the combat (if any).
Choose a minion. The acting vampire enters combat with that minion instead. The acting vampire cannot play any strike cards on the first round of combat and damage prevention cards cost him or her one additional blood to play.
