Place this card face up in your deck and shuffle. If your next draw would be this face up card, you may send it to the graveyard to activate one of these effects. Draw 2 cards. Destroy any 2 cards. Special Summon any monster in either your hand, deck or graveyard that can be normal summoned.

  • Rarity: Secret Rare
  • Card Type: Spell/Magic Card / Quick-Play

Comment from the author:
The Heart of the Cards never failed Yugi, Jaden or Yusei. Maybe this card could help us all out. The cost is the two draws for it. Thus it is a -1 the first time you pull it. It has the potential to be a +1 though once it shows back up.
The nice things about being a quick play spell card is that only a countertrap would be able to negate the summoning of the monster. Interesting to think about.

Subject: I hate to say this but...   Posted: January 8, 2011 05:42 pm

I understand that this is a dream card, most likely for fun, but, it is very broken and could use a little or a lot of watering down. Let's start with a numbers game here:

1. You draw it and it goes back to your deck. Okay, I can understand that. It's like Pharoah's Treasure. Not bad, not bad. However, number 2...

2. First of 3 effects: Draw 2 cards. This one isn't so bad, I suppose. I mean, you get a Pot of Greed so who wouldn't like that, right? A little bit pricy for that, but, it seems to be balanced...oh wait, effect number 2.

3. Okay, you can blow up any 2 cards on the field? Well gee, I guess I'll just blow up my opponent's 2 strongest cards and then pretty much defeat my opponent. Or, I can use this card's effect to blow up cards I need in the graveyard and then pretty much knock out my opponent that way. Or, I can use this with my scraps and destroy my cards so I can use their effects and dominate the game! Hahahahaha! Eat that, offical games rules that balance the game out equally! That effect is pretty horrible. Then, there's effect number 3...as if the horror of effect 2 wasn't one - sided enough...

4. Wait, I thought effect #2 was the end of this. But, you can pick the 3rd and final effect. Special summon 1 monster from your hand, graveyard or deck that can be normal summoned. Wait a moment...here little Honest that I need to win, here Honest! I special summon you and then return you to the hand and then attack with Wattsquirell and I attack twice with mega damage by discarding Honest! Wait, that isn't all! I can grab a tuner! Hey! This card is super powerful now! How could this card get any better? What if I use it in a Elemental Hero deck? Then I can pull out any E-Hero monster I want and fusion summon out pretty much any Elemental Hero fusion I want! And it's not just heroes! I can bring out any Fusion material monster I need for any fusion I have! Also, if I'm running a different deck...hmmmm....what other deck could gain unequal balance from this card...? How about every deck in the world!!!! Oh...there's more...

5. This is taking too long so I'll make this shorter, though it won't be sweeter. This card is this powerful, this unfair and this unequal and yet, and yet, it's not just any spell card, oh no! It's a quick - Play!!! WOW!!! And I thought Trishula was shifting the game rules, but, if this card ever gets released, and I hope and pray that Konami doesn't see this card because I would really love to see their reaction to this card. It would be worse than mine! Well, maybe I'm being too harsh. I mean, I can get one of three effects and all I need to do is draw this card twice. That could be hard. Luckily, we can all get Gold Sarchacous now so we can just choose to add this card to our hand after we send it back to the deck! But, is there something I missed? At least it's a quick-play so we can activate on either our turns or our opponent's turn!!!! I don't want to be to be this critical, but, this card isn't just broken, it's almost perfect! It's splashable in every deck, can be activated whenever you want to, can shift the game in your side for the remainder of the duel, and it's one cost, having to draw it twice, can be loopholed into giving you the card within 2 to 4 turns, bypassing the one limitation that might keep the card from being mega banned. I'm not apologizing for this comment or essay, rather, because I speak the truth.

It may be a fan card, however, I believe that even fan cards need some balance in them. Not too much balance, so that they are still fun to use, but, not having a limitation that can be quickly bypassed and then you can win the game either. I really hope people don't vote a 5 for this card. Take thhat and this entire comments however you wish. I can't stand to even look at the card anymore.

like the guy before me said, this card is too much. prety much no cost.....and the second effect allows the destruction of any 2 cards on the field.....yea, too much. the only one i like is the last one, cause allowing the specail summon of a monster that can be normal summoned is good, but the added effects of paying to play the card is needed. so, either one of two things can happen....either the only way to play the spell at all is to have no cards in your hand, and draw it, then play it during the draw phase to get it's effect, or play it, return to the deck, and when drawn, pay LP, or discard some cards....something like that will even this card out better.

Subject: More Balanced Than It Looks   Posted: March 5, 2011 11:19 pm

Look guys, I am an official licensed judge for Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments, and this cared isn't nearly as broken as some of you believe. Yes, it's second and third effects need to be re-worded, as they can be abused horribly, but the cost of having to draw it twice is actually well-written. You can't Gold Sarcophagus this card the second time, because it specifically says you must draw it again, or the effect is useless. I propose that this card get altered as such:

Effect 1 and 2 are fine as-is (the two-draw thing is effect 1 and the P.O.G. effect is 2). Effect 3; Select two face-up cards on the field. Your oppenent selects one and destroys it. Effect 4; Special Summon any monster from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard that you could Normal Summon this turn. If this card is sent to the owner's hand, Deck, or Graveyard, remove it from play.

I believe you will find that the cost/benefit ratio is effective now. It is no longer broken, but can still be highly effective in almost any deck.

It says that you shuffle the card face-up in your deck and the next time you draw, it has to be that card. So you only need to keep shuffling until you see the card.

You guys are missing the point of this being The Heart of the Cards its ment to be broke!
I guess to make this somewhat hurt you is lose maybe 2000 lifepoints or discard this card to the graveyard.
That way u have to draw it and if u do u might or might not be able to use it

I really like this card, but to answer others saying it is broken, it isn't horribly so. The only effect that is truly broken is effect 2, which can be mitigated by having to pay lifepoints for each card destroyed, say 1000 apiece. The naysayers who think that you can use Gold Sarcophagus to fish this out in 2-4 turns, please read the text. The effect states (just like Pharaoh's Treasure) that you have to draw it face up from the deck to get ANY OF THE CHOOSABLE EFFECTS. Gold Sarcophagus adds it to your hand, doesn't draw it face-up from the deck. Same for Different Dimension Capsule. The only way to alter the odds for drawing this card the second time is the same way you do it for Pharaoh's Treasure: Card Shuffle, which costs lifepoints and requires a random shuffle, so even then the face-up card would be visible and it would be VERY CLEAR if someone was cheating the shuffle to get this card.

tl;dr: if Konami saw this card, they would modify it only slightly and add it to the game, because it is a really good card that isn't as broken as it looks.
