With such a side effect this card is NOT worth playing... unless you either lower the cost, increase the power, or increase the number of shields it breaks. Also you can give it an effect like Bolmeteus Samurai, were at the cost of losing one of your own shield you get to destroy one of your opponents creatures.

Sorry about that. My memory is a little fuzzy because I was trying to recreate Bolmetus. Besides, I fixed the effect.

The original Bolmeteus was a 7-mana 7000 power creature, and replaced breaking shields with sending them to their owner's discard pile. As worded, your current version doesn't even work. Why would you let your opponent choose whether the effect happens? What does it even mean to banish a shield?
