General description:
The abilities and such of the card (as TCO doesn't have that)...
HP- 50
Retreat- 1
Weak- Fighting
Resist- Psychic -30
Pokémon Power: Energy Evolution Whenevery you attach an energy card to Eevee, flip a coin. If heads, search your deck for a card that evolves from Eevee that is the same type as the Energy card you attached to Eevee. Attach that card to Eevee. This counts as evolving Eevee. Shuffle your deck afterward. This power cannot be used if Eevee is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed.
(Normal Energy -1) Smash Kick 10 Damage
Uses:
Well, eevees are supposed to be highly reactive to environmental changes... and adding energy would be an environment change...
Strategies and game play:
Lets say you're playing a Psychic deck, and you have Espeon. Plop a Psychic Energy on eevee, and filp the coin. Heads, and you've got Espeon on the field. Playing a rainbow deck? Put two or three Eeveelutions in your deck, and watch the eevees evolve.
Combos with other cards:
Unown [J] with his buddies O I and N act as an always working Pokéball, bringing out Eevee for you to play with energy... And they bring out the eeveelution if you can't flip heads to save your life (or after 3 or so elemental energies)
Ways to counteract it:
Mew's De-Evolution Pokémon Power will drive you nuts, un-evolving your eevee... Playing an Elemental deck (e.g. All fire) against an elemental deck that hits your weakness is always effective to waste the eevee...
Strengths/Pros:
If you have luck with coin flips, you could (in theory, haven't read the rules in a while) have 4 eevees evolved in 4 turns... can't do much with an evolved Eevee with one energy, but hey...
Weaknesses/Cons:
Any fighting pokemon that hits you will most likely waste you before you get that energy out... and if you *beep* at coin flips, you might have to rely on just drawing evolutions, in which case, might I recomend other Pokémon to replace eevee in your deck then?
Variations:
Neo Discovery, English and Japaneese are the only incarnations with this effect... Eevee has been released in almost every third expansion, staring with Jungle or Fossile...
Artwork and aesthetics:
While cute, I don't think the artwork really sums up eevee's Potential in this card... Its pokédex-related flavor text defenetly agrees with this card, however.
Overall rating:
Overall - 6/10 -- Its good, but there are better cards out there...
Normal type - 4/10 -- If you're making a Normal type deck, use Snorlax and Chansey, not this Eevee...
Stratigy Decks - 8/10 -- There are better cards for stratigy, but a poké that evolves with energy attached makes "the right card" come up a bit sooner...
