General:
During the 2 years of playing yugioh i have dueled many different people, but not 1 of them ever used Lava Golem. Probably because it can really help out your opponent with a powerful monster and since it can easily be sacrificed before it does any real damage, it's not much of a use. But if you can use this card right with other cards you can make it an ultamite burning card against your opponent!

Uses:
This card is always useful to destroy 2 of your opponent monster but it uses up your normal summon for the turn, so it's always good to have defensive traps (Negate Attack, Magic Cylinder, etc.) In addition to this cards effect of destroying 2 of your opponent's monsters every of your opponent's turn you inflict 1000 points of damage to their lifepoints. This card would be a great addition to any Burn Deck. But this gives your opponent a very powerful 3000 ATK monster in addition can be sacrificed easily so and sometimes useless so noone i've met has used it. But if you use this card with the right cards it will be your opponent's down fall.

Strategies and game play:
The main use of this card is to destroy your opponent's monsters and inflict damage and nothing else so there's not much to explain about strategies about this card except being a good burn card. And this card can be countered in many ways.

Combos with other cards:
This is where Lava Golem gets interesting. The first negative thing about this monster is that it gives your opponent a very powerful monster, you can counter this problems with cards that stop it from attacking (Shadow Spell, Spell Binding Circle, Mask of the Accursed, etc.) and it will continue inflicting damage to your opponent without letting your opponent use the monster. The second and the biggest negative thing about this card is that it can can be sacrificed, you can easily counter this with Mask of Restrict which will stop your opponent from destroying the monster. These combos with Lava Golem will eliminate your opponent in a matter of turns without helping your opponent in any way!!

Ways to counteract it:
There are many ways for your opponent to counter this card:
Example,
Sacrificing
Cards that destroy monsters
Skill Drain
Divine wrath
and more
Strengths/Pros:
The best thing about this card is destroying your opponent's monster and inflicting 1000 points of damage to your opponent.

Weaknesses/Cons:
Gives your opponent a very powerful monster and can easily be destroyed by card effects and sacrificing.

Variations:
The English version of this card comes in Pharonic Gaurdian, Dark Revalation 1, and Invasion of Chaos - Special edition card.
Artwork and aesthetics:
To me the art work is pretty good with a golem (one of my favorite fantasy creature) on fire with a chain comming out of his chest and skeletons in his stomach which represents death. This card very much relates to the effect with the duelist in the cage being burned by the lava inflicting damage.
Overall rating:
Because he can be easily destroyed i give this card a 7.5 out of 10

Nice strategy dude! Vote everyone's review a 4/5 however good or bad they might be and ask them to do the same for you! I'm sure you wouldn't care to vote had you not written your own review! I hope you didn't vote and say:''Cool review! Vote mine on D-hero dasher'' for those who just copy the template and submit them, in your fit of doing that !!!!! Why don't you see how 'nice' is your review and how many people vote for how much with their own will instead of forcing them to do so?????

Lava Golem is a must-have Sidedeck Card for almost any Deck and I tell you why:
Anti-Burn, Anti-Exodia, Anti-Final Countdown, Anti-Monster Locks (Solar Flare Dragons, Marauder Captains), Anti-Field Locks (Ojama King, Horus + Decree, Cyber Skater), Anti-Immortal Monsters (Black and White Dragon, Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes). Its a good counter against all that sort of situations, and if your opponent uses one of these multiple times or combinations of the cards mentioned above, this card is a hard-hitting threat. The Scapegoat + Golem combo is also a very good way to stall for time while your opponent gets burned...
