Oh no, not another of those weak, ugly monsters!! 1000 Atk...what can this dumb card do? Kill a monarch?..Of course he can!! 
Uses:
This card acts as a multi-target exiled force. He can easily get rid of monsters having 1000Def(monarch
)and can tackle more defence-oriented ones with ease provided he has an earth ally
Strategies and game play:
The most obvious way to get thos card on the field is to have him special summoned by Giant Rat.He can be tributed himself to blow off some monsters or you can offer other earths as a tribute(The rock spirit, Gigantes, E-hero wildheart, don zaloog,etc)
Combos with other cards:
This card can be used along with soul exchange/enemy controller to conpletely wreak havok!
Your opponent has multiple ultimate tyrannos on his side of the field and you are alone with your little rock. Just actvate soul exchange on one tyranno and the others will be blown away. Sure, you can't attack but you just escaped a loss
Ways to counteract it:
torrential tribute, divine wrath, kick back and other monster-removing traps. You can also flip your monsters face-down with book of moon to escape this creature's fury
Strengths/Pros:
-Having 1000Atk, he can be searched by Giant Rat or Sangan
-You can tribute any earth monsters, not only mormolith himself
-His effect can destoy multiple monsters, giving you card advantage
-His 1000Atk allows it to blow away monarchs, the overused monsters
Weaknesses/Cons:
He can't destroy face-downs, but then we have NoC and shield crush for that
Variations:
He's available as a hard to find secret rare in Tactical Evolution
Artwork and aesthetics:
He looks like a dazed mechanical pebble surrounded by mist 
and has a reptilian look...
