What I'll be doing is something new. I'll now proceed with the usual card review(aesthetics, general description...). What I have done is a full review of a deck based on Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror with good reasons why this astounding card should be used. take the time to read it, it's worth it!
First of all I think that most decks, whether you've realised this or not, is that most decks run around monsters, be it zombies, gadgets or monarch. Of course, when I'm saying all this I mean that without dark monsters, those decks would be reduced to ashes.
Let's take zombies for a start. They can't do much with pyramid turtle, that's why the deck got a boost from Zombie Master and Ill Blud, both dark monsterswho along with Snipe Hunter gives speed and attack power.
Now let's move to gadgets. They themselves are darks, so negating their effect will give instant victory.
For monarchs, it's a different matter. As you may have found out, destiny monarchs are the fastest and most sucessful, so everyone uses the Dark DHeros now.
And why not take advantage of LaDD's second attribute?
So now comes the inevitable question. Is SIMirror worth running and will he do better than skill drain? That's what I'm here to prove.
So in this deck, I propose to run cards like giant arcs, mist archfiend and perhaps infernal dragon. To make this deck moreanti-meta, I'll throw in 2-3 End Of Anubises, the ultimate treeborn and stratos hater. To search copies of SIMirror, we need 3 magical merchants and cyber dragons are a staple, aren't they?
So up yo now, the deck looks like this:
3 Mist Archfiends
3 Magical Merchant
3 Cyber Dragon
3 Giant orc
3 Infernal dragon
2/3 End of Anubis
Now comes the really complex part.Heavy storm and MST are staples. I opted for premature burial, giving me an easy 2500Atk frog-hater beatstick. As you may have noticed, most monsters have low stats so I'll use 2 lightning vortex. Getting the wrong card at the wrong time is also a problem so I will put in 1 card destruction aver magical mallet, for I won't want to draw them again.
Now comes the interesting part. Approximately 12 of my monsters have 0Def. So much the better-so I'll stick to 3 copies of recurring nightmare, an improvement of Dark Factory of Mass Production.
1 Heavy Storm
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Card destruction
3 Recurring Nightmare
2 Lightning Vortex
1 Prremature burial
The trap section is a tricky one for I didn't want to maindeck pulling the rugs, so here goes:
3 Solemn Judgement
1 Forced Back
2 Dark Bribe
1 torrential tribute
1 Call Of The Haunted
1 Mirror force
So the main deck should look like this, after I've put in the apprentice engine for draw power and made some adjustments. Don't forget, this deck will never run Disk Comander.
3 Mist Archfiends
3 Magical Merchant
3 Cyber Dragon
3 Giant orc
3 Infernal dragon
2 End of Anubis
3 crystal Seer
1 Mirage Dragon
1 Marshmellon
1 Heavy Storm
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Card destruction
3 Recurring Nightmare
2 Lightning Vortex
1 Prremature burial
3 Solemn Judgement
1 Forced Back
2 Dark Bribe
1 torrential tribute
1 Call Of The Haunted
1 Mirror force
If you don't believe this deck has the potential, test it yourself. Various discussions are under way, so the deck I've proposed is not the best, and I'm open to any suggestions.
