General description:
this card is amazing, most people look past it because it is a level five monster with only 1500 atk. if anything i see that as an advantage. this card is not effected by traps that target it, it makes sure, after attacking that you opponent wont ativate any spells or traps entill after the damage step, and after all of that it then destorys one spell or trap card on the field after attacking.
Uses:
i would base this card around and earth-themed deck, maybe gadgets. use this card to make sure your attacks get through without fear of spell or trap cards stoping you and to get rid of the cards your opponent couldn't activate anyways, lol.
Strategies and game play:
the one card that comes to mind when i see this card is giant rat, yes the engineer has five stars, but with it's atk points at 1500 it is fair game for this games favorite rat.
Combos with other cards:
most people see its 1500 atk a gateway to getting swamped by other monsters, but with todays arsenal of spell, trap and even other monster cards to help portect it like, enemy controller, sak armor, solemn judgment. mirror force, book of moon etc...there should be no problem keeping it on the field to get a games worth of use out of it.
Ways to counteract it:
high atk monster i.e. monarchs etc...also your your monster destroying spell cards like...fissue, lightning vortex, hammer shot(unlikely engineer will have the highest atk, lol) smashing ground, and sheild crush.
Strengths/Pros:
protects your monsters from spells and/or traps while attacking.
can not be singled out with a trap card.
after attacking can help clear the field of your opponents spell and or trap cards.
Weaknesses/Cons:
being five stars makes and 1500 atk makes it unworth summoning unless your useing giant rat.
1500 atk is a vonerable atk to many othe higher atk creatures.
Variations:
it is fixed at common because of it coming from the machine re-volt starter.
Artwork and aesthetics:
i like the artwork on this card more than any other ancient gear card i have seen. the way you see the air spin from the spiral of the drill just looks awsome to me...
Overall rating:
because of the work involved in getting this card out to even be worth the time...6.5/10
