D. D. Borderline
Infinite ceasefire

General description:
D.D borderline comes from a booster which completely changed the metagame a couple of years back, wuth powerful monsters which overshadowed this one. As this card sees little to no play, don't hesitate to mention any combo I've missed.

Uses:
This card is obviously used for stalling, often leading to overcrowded fields and hands(Pity we can no longer use CED)

Combos with other cards:
Below are some combos which, when used effectively, allows you to get the best out of this amazing card
Transmigration Prophecy: You can shuffle two cards(spells) back into your deck
Macro Cosmos: Each card, instead of being sent to the graveyard gets removed from play(Dimensional Fissure removes only monsters).
Magician Of Faith: This lady will only be effective when you have only one spell in your graveyard.
Chaosrider Gustaph: He allows you to remove up to two spells from play
Spell Striker: This is the most interesting way to use D.D.Borderline. The synergy between Spell Striker and Borderline can be exploited to turn the latter's effect on and off. Removing one spell will give you 'a nice little scapegoat' which you van use as tribute fodder.
Recycle: Paying 300Lifepoints allows you to shuffle a non-monster card back into your deck.
Banisher of the Light/Radiance: This is obvious...
Final Countdown: Since you need to wait for twenty turns to win, D.D.Borderline can protect you from all attacks till victory provided you remove the spell from play.
Soul Release: Allows you to remove 5 cards in either player's graveyard from play.
Necroface: After removing all the spells in your graveyard from play, you can summon this little monster to shuffle them back and increase your attack power.

Ways to counteract it:
Breaker, twister,MST,Dark bribe to negate it...the list goes on...

Strengths/Pros:
-Unlike gravity bind and its peers, this card prevent all monsters from battling, regardless of attack points or level.
-You don't have to pay any cost to keep him on the field.
-It can't be destroyed at will(Like messenger of Peace) but activating a spell negates its effect.
-This card can cause your opponent to deck-out since most decks nowadays emphasize on draw power and D.D.Borderline is so good at stalling.

Weaknesses/Cons:
-Preventing attacks will not often win you games, especially against burn.

Variations:
It's available in Invasion Of Chaos booster pack as a common and perhaps in one of the reprints too, Dark revelations 2.

Artwork and aesthetics:
The artwork is simply gorgeous, with a warrior(Maurauding captain??) and the strange water beast in Elemental energies, seperated by a cool-looking barrier

Overall rating:
Overall, I'd like to give this card a 10/10, for it's the best of its type...cool artwork, best staller...well...everything we look for in a good card
Hope you enjoyed this review

Great review. Very well thought out and you suggested some very interesting ideas to effectively use this card. Just one note though, bazoo and skull lair can only remove monsters from graveyard and not spells or traps. They were errated a while back to only include monsters.

Borderline does have its potential in decks where people use more (or a lot) of traps in its deck. However, people always find it better to use less traps than spells so its deck is protected against Jinzo's, Mirage Dragons, Royal Decrees or alike cards. Also, aggresive decks are useless with the card.

D.D. Borderline needs some good timing or strategy, and will likely not be effective enough in the later games. Also, Spell Cards that remove cards in your Graveyards also doesn't solve your problem of D.D. Borderline negative effect.

It isn't the best stall card to use, but it can be used in some decks. Problem is, your review doesn't really mention all those decks...
