Five-Pronged Seal
Cheapest card ever? Probably not. One of them? Without a doubt.

General description:
People would go on and on about how "The Third Hokage" (Addressing Past Wrongs) was utterly broken. Same thing about Chidori, Trigrams, Gaara (Tragic Name), Kakashi (Early Settlement), Naruto (Control of Power), and so on. But what about Five-Pronged Seal? Well I'm here to tell you, in case you haven't figured it out already, this card is so broken it's stupid. Don't get me wrong though, there are ways to counteract it.
This card really didn't use to be all to playable, simply because of what it asks its user to pay. One of each symbol...that's a huge price. Not only that, but to do that, a deck couldn't easily be balanced. And what would happen if it were to be negated? That's all changed.

Uses:
I would think it impossible to just throw this card in a deck that focuses on a different strategy, even if the strategy were similar. Five-Pronged Seal (FPS) needs to be in a deck based around it. Take their best ninja and toss it, along with their hand. If you can't win after that, there's something seriously wrong with either your playing style, or your deck.

Strategies and game play:
It used to be where you'd have to nearly deck yourself out through raw draw power. However, with the release of Quest for Power we got a new toy..."Release of Chakra". Keep in mind though, it HAS been errated. You play it at the cost of one lightning, and you get to charge any three cards from your hand. After that, you get to draw three cards. Ok...right there you could have 4/5 cards you need in your chakra. Not to mention the chance of you drawing into the stuff you need. You have a fourty card deck. You draw at the beginning bringing it to 34. Draw for your turn it goes to 33. Play release of chakra it goes to thirty. Your first turn you get to use one fourth of your deck...the odds of you pulling it off are quite high. "But what about negation?" you may ask. I'm getting to it...

Combos with other cards:
Obviously, FPS combined with RoC (relase of chakra) is deadly. But now onto the matter of negation. Play "Kunai"! No...not the +2/+2, or the stupid one that recycles itself. The "Kunai" from Eternal Rivalry. Your ninja gets +1/+1. Think of that as an added bonus. For one of any kind of chakra (Lightning!) your next jutsu cannot be negated. Also, this is fun to use if you encounter a paper bomb =D Don't forget! Every jutsu you use can become food for FPS! You have 2 fire chakra, 1 water, 1 earth, and 1 wind. Play kunai and toss a fire. Let the chain resolve, the kunai becomes charged, and start another chain. FPS for the win!

Ways to counteract it:
Go for the chakra! This is what I enjoy doing! Sometimes it can be a pain to negate their jutsu. But what shall they do about you discarding their chakra? I like using "Chakra Control Device". For two earth i can pick one of your ninjas, take the amount of their entrance cost, and discard that much of my opponent's chakra (yay!). There are other ways though. You just need to be careful. A lot of FPS decks pull off FPS between turns 0-2. Another way is Neji (Detection by Byakugan). But he's a bit harder to pull of since he's a turn 2. Same thing for "Yoroi Akado". If you get extremely lucky you could always negate their kunai AND the FPS lol. Probably the most simple way to stop it, however, is with Temari (Wind Scythe). Keep in mind, though, that will not be their only copy... It's defanitely tricky to fight off FPS decks. I wish I had more advice to give, but I actually haven't had to play against one myself (I'm not entirely sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing...)

Strengths/Pros:
- Rediculous ability
- Likeliness of grabbing you the game
- Can be used by any ninja
- Can be used even if they don't block

Weaknesses/Cons:
- Heavy cost

Variations:
There are none.

Artwork and aesthetics:
A bit strange...I don't particularly like it, but that's my opinion.

Overall rating:
9.5/10 - but the deck's gotta be built right.

I use five-pronged seal release in my Mental Power deck and would use five-pronged seal if I had it. In a mental power or genin deck it isn't difficult to have all five chakra, especially if you use platoons or clients. Just putting in that the deck doesn't have to be built for the card, some decks have the chakra if you look closely.

well I can only speak from experience. I've never seen it work in any other deck, but if it works for you, cool.
