I think Garchomp is very good with a nice 130HP and tons of damage for not a lot of energies. It is a must have for good decks. Its Poke-Body is one of the best, because Garchomp's attacks will do 40 more damage if your opponents pokemon has a weakness to one of the energies on Garchomp.


USES
I expect lots of people to be using this a a hit-and-run card, with zero retreat cost and a 70 damage move. They will also be using it to destroy any type of pokemon because of its Poke-Body.

[STRATEGY
A very good strategy would be to build up Garchomp with tons of different energies while he is on the bench. When he comes out, it's attack is almost a 1-hit KO. It also has no retreat cost, so it can go right back to the bench whenever it needs to heal.

COMBOS
Garchomp has a great combination with any healing pokemon, like Blissy. All you have to do is bring Garchomp to the bench when it is injured, and bring out the Healing Machine!!
It will heal Garchomp back to full heath, and then you can bring Garchomp out for another KO.


PROTECTION AGAINST THIS CARD
The easiest way to bring Garchomp down is its weakness to normal types. Liciliky is the best pokemon to put out against Garchomp, because it doesn't have a +30 weakness like most good normal types do. Garchomp can also be brought down by Energy Removal. You can stop your pokemon from getting hurt a lot by just discarding Garchomps energies that are the same as your weakness.

STRENGTHS
The best part about Garchomp is its Poke-Body. It can make dragon fang do 110 damage to just about any pokemon! Its zero retreat cost is also very good, because it can safely heal on the bench whenever in needs to.

WEAKNESS
The worst part about this card is its normal weakness. Most people use normal types in their deck, because of the fact that it doesn't need any types of energies. The best way to stop that is by using normal and fighting, so you have access to fighting energies.

VARIATIONS
As far as I know, there has not been any variations of this card. If there is, please let me know about them.

ARTWORK
What I like about the artwork is the 3-D look of Garchomp. It looks incredibly realistic.

OVERALL RATING
I'd give it a 9.7, because it is very strong and has no weakness.
