General description:
Lapras dosen't look like much, but using it you can get tons of energy, pokemon tools, and supporters when you use it. Plus, it's a basic pokemon with 80 hp and can do 20 damage. It dosen't seem like a lot but against Infernape or the new Charizard, it becomes 50!
Uses: This card is good used at the begenning of a game and put up front for lots of stuff to power up your pokemon on the bench. It's also good to use when you are running low on cards or energy in your hand.
Strategies and game play:
This card really affects how fast set up is and Coming back from no energy in your hand. One cool strategy against pokemon with a +30 weakness to water is to use water splash until the pokemon has 40 or less hp then bring up Cresselia Lv.X to get an extra prize card.
Combos with other cards:
Try Blissey from Mysterious Treasures. Lapras gets energy with it's attack which helps power up Blissey's attack. Also use Cresselia Lv.X as said in strategies.
Ways to counteract it:
Add lightning cards that evolve or cards that do 80 damage. Just make sure that it dosen't take to long to power them up or Lapras will retreat and you will face a real threat!
Strengths/Pros:
It's good against water weak pokemon and it's mainly good for setup.
Weaknesses/Cons:
It's weak to lightning pokemon and pokemon with the attack amnesia.
Variations:
There are multiple Lapras cards, but this is the only one like this.
Artwork and aesthetics:
The artwork by Atsuko Nishida is good. The water looks odd, but the ripples and the pose of Lapras is awesome. It makes it look like Lapras is swimming.
Overall rating:
The point of this card is for setup, but sice the rating isn't just on the important stuff, 6/10.
