General description:
Crush card virus!! Who hasn’t ever dreamed of owning one? Well, today you almost can, thanks to the golden packs. This card has been dividing people into two different categories, but now even you can put it in your deck!!!
Uses:
Use this card wisely and victory is yours. This is a multi-purpose card that not only allows you to take a peek at your opponent’s hand, but you get to destroy his tough monsters as well. This card has the potential to stop the deadliest OTKs like gigaplant and demise dead in their tracks.
Strategies and game play:
There’s nothing much to say about strategy, it’s all pretty obvious
Combos with other cards:
Interestingly, crush card virus combos with a large amount of cards. Most decks today run either sangan or disk commander, tributing a monster is hardly a problem. You can even use The swallow grave to bring one back, then tribute it. Your opponent’s monster will undoubtly die too.
The fact that crush card virus allows you to see all your opponent’s cards can be a huge advantage for you. Use it along with Mind Crush and you can take specific cards from your opponent’s hand after depleting it from its big monsters. This will probably give you some free turns during which you can attack and win!! This combo also works well with drop off since you can see the draws too.
Now for the destruction effect, You can use Dimension fusion to special all removed from play monsters, then laugh as your adversary’s monsters die!! Also, it is always pretty obvious when DAD players are going to drop the big threat, so just flip CCV and watch the costly DADs being destroyed before being played!!! You can also do it while your opponent adds Stratos to his hand via RoTA!!
Ways to counteract it:
Dark bribe, Solemn Judgement, Royal decree…well, practically everything that stops traps.
Strengths/Pros:
-You get to see your opponent’s hand and set cards
-The monsters are destroyed; bad luck dark world insects!!!
-You get to see what cards your opponent draws too
-effect applies for 3 turns! wow!
Weaknesses/Cons:
-Tributing a monster is a cost!!(aww c’mon a weakling with 1000 or lower!)
Variations:
Golden pack 1 or well, it used to be the reward for winning a SJC
Artwork and aesthetics:
The artwork is amazing. Even if I cannot read what’s written in Japanese, the virus drawings are self-explanatory!!!
Overall rating:
I won’t waste your time with this. 10/10!! Among one of the best cards in my opinion
