General description:
It has 3 stars and zero ATK and DEF. Useless? Far from it.
Uses:
Simply find a way to get 3 of them on the field and there you have it. 3 monsters with 3000 ATK each. And at 3 stars gravity bind and level limit area - b can't do a thing. If you have something else in mind with a switch to DEF they will all have 3000 DEF!!! Have fun getting passed that barrier.
Strategies and game play:
With zero attack and a multitude of ways to special summon it (Monster Reborn, Battery Charger, and the new Batteryman support coming soon in Light of Destruction.) Use Inferno Reckless Summon to retrieve all 3 and use the massive power of Short Circuit to annihilate their defenses and go in for an OTK and possibly an FTK
Combos with other cards:
The Batterymen are all about Special Summoning and drawing poer from each other. With 3 different types of batterymen out now, a quick way to Special Summon them and a one tribute monster that gains an ability from the tributed batteryman you can pull off alot with these little guys.
Ways to counteract it:
I've had to think long and hard about ways to counter these pint-sized power houses. And the simplest way is to treat it like any other monster. Use monster destroyers or a skill drain, maybe even Reverse Trap if you have one lying around to reduce them to 0 ATK or DEF and inflict some serious damage
Strengths/Pros:
These guys can easily swarm the field and really take control. And with The new suppoert coming soon you can expect to be running or facing a Batteryman OTK Deck very soon. I myself cannot wait.
Weaknesses/Cons:
Sadly there is very little for Thunder types. Most of which do not seem to work together but only on there own. Furthermore, this card only seems to be about offense or defense. You will have to keep a Spell or Trap handy to protect them.
Variations:
This card really is a one trick pony. It was only written for English and Japanese (But I could be wrong.)
Artwork and aesthetics:
The artwork is amusing at best. It shows him (it?) drawing power, most likely from the other Batterymen AAs. And a quick little reminder on it's forhead that batteries are very recyclable and will be seen again and again. Which is their tactic afterall.
Overall rating:
I would give this card a 6. Yes, yes, I know. All that praise and build up for just a 6, but think about it. It is only good in numbers and your opponent can easily counter the summoning or attacks of them. With a quick Magical Cylinder it could be all over.
