General description:
Only one word came to my mind on reading this wonderful card’s effect-BROKEN!!! In the paragraphs below, I’ll attempt to explain how to abuse Destiny End Dragoon so that you can use it to its full extent in duelling. Pay attention, and I am sure you’ll try to run this monster in the days to come.
Uses:
One thing I must emphasize on is that Destiny End Dragoon cannot be unleashed in any kind of decks. True, being a fusion monster, you can keep it in the fusion deck, but summoning it is something entirely different. Along with this card, you MUST have copies of Destiny Hero – Plasma and Destiny Hero – Dogma. So no King Of The Swamp this time!!
Another thing, you can't special summon it from you graveyard unless it's been properly fusion summoned and sent there first.
Strategies and game play:
Destiny End Dragoon is the sort of monster that is not only a potential threat but it actually wins battles. Along with it’s 3000 atk and def points, Destiny End Dragoon boasts a one-sided Ring Of Destruction effect and unlike Dogma, that effect can reduce lifepoints to zero.
Combos with other cards:
Being a fusion type monster, Destiny End Dragoon does not have many combos, but the few I have listed below are extremely devastating. One thing that you must all have seen is that on fusion summoning him, you dump two DHeroes in the grave, awaiting to remove them from play to summon Dragoon once he is destroyed.
Future Fusion
This is the most obvious combo. Activate future Fusion, dump the FM monsters in the grave and wait for hell to break loose. Future Fusion, compared to Fusion Gate is better in most cases as it fills the grave with D Hero monsters ready for removal.
Dimension Explosion
Dimension allows both you and your opponent to special summon 2 RFP monsters provided you return one Fusion monster to your deck. While playing with DED, lors of DHeroes may tend to get RFP(if the opponent survives), so this card can provide you with a small boost, especially if it’s DMoC. Here’s what needs to be stressed out. You can grab a DMoC and take future fusion back, they drop the FMM in the grave, fuelling them a bit more.
Dark Rainbow OTK
DED is a must in Rainbow OTK decks, which already runs both the FMM needed, so a Future Fusion thrown in can’t do much harm.
Element Hero Prisma
Prisma helps not only to fill the graveyard, but it takes the name of the monster it sends there!! So while using the regular polymerisation and you miss one of the fusion materials, Prisma is the answer out of your problem!!
Phantom Of Chaos
This is one of my favourite combo. Phantom can actually copy DED’s unique effect. This mimicking wonder will then be able to deal direct damage like a king!!! Read the effect well, Phantom only prevents battle damage!!
Lava Golem
You can special summon Lava Golem onto your opponent’s side of the field, let it do some burning, which is especially easy if you use Mask Of Restrict, then burn the opponent for 3000 more damage. You can use this with Grinder Golem as well, and get a pair of Tokens in the process.
Others
Feel free to suggest combos I’ve missed.
Ways to counteract it:
DD Crow will take proper care of this card if you can put it in the graveyard, preventing it from ever coming back!! To remove him from the field, the usual onster removal will work.
Strengths/Pros:
-High Attack and defence points
-His effect can be used on face-downs as well
-Useful monster removal tool
-Deals direct damage, which is so cool!!!
-Simply by removing a DHero in your grave, it can be s.summoned back
Weaknesses/Cons:
The sole weakness of this card is that it cannot attack and deal burn damage in the same turn.
Variations:
This card can be obtained as an Ultra rare or as a super shiny Ultimate rare in Light Of Destruction booster pack.
Artwork and aesthetics:
The artwork is perfect!! It depicts the card’s name very well, andis a good mix between Plasma and Dogma. The cool bit is that one arm is like a dragon’s head, and the other a sharp blade. But it has two heads…
Overall rating:
This card gets a 10/10. This is very high and especially hard to get being a fusion monster, but DED overcomes all his shortcoming(s) with its built-in monster reborn and ring of destruction!!
I know it’s been a very long review, with no emoticons, but this is a serious review, not one about laughable cards. I sincerely hope you’ve enjoyed reading it!!
