General description:
I guess you may all have heard of Shadowpriestess OTK. True, Fire Princess cannot win you a match in one turn itself, but she’s practically much better. With most of her female allies, she can burn away your opponents lifepoints, unquestionably in a more efficient, better than traditional burn.
Uses:
Her unique effect inflicts damage each time you increase your own lifepoints so is better off in a deck based around herself. When used in the right way with her gang of female lifepoint gainers, she’ll prove to be deadly.
Strategies and game play:
All Fire Princess decks run a certain amount of stall cards, so all matches will tend to be slower, giving you time to search out the cards you need and set up your lifepoint gaining cycle.
Combos with other cards:
When newer sets came out, themes like batterymen and plants got obvious support cards. Fire Princess too got lots of cards to help her, but they’ve all been overlooked for more aggro and expensive cards. Below are some cards that should be used in all Fire Princess builds.
Gravity Bind
Gravity Bind, along with Level Limit Area B are the best available stall cards out there, but they are not the ideal one to be used in this deck. Messenger Of Peace. While gravity Bind prohibits attacks with respect to level, Messenger of Peace prevents all those having 1500 Atk form attacking, so changing Fire Princes to defence will mean she wont be destroyed by battle, having exactly 1500 Def!! Also, your life-gaining should allow you to keep it indefinitely on the field.
Solemn Wishes
Solemn Wishes is a continuous trap card that gives you 500 Lp each turn. Pretty simple, yet deadly in a Fire Princess deck!!
Cure Mermaid
She gives 800 lp per turn, but what’s good is that she has exactly 1500 Atk points, which means she is searchable by Mother Grizzly and under the protection of Messenger Of Peace, she’ll not die by battle provided she is kept in attack mode!!!
Dancing Fairy, Spirit Of The Breeze and Neospacian Air Hummingbird
The first two have pretty good stats, but you have to maintain them is an unfavourable position(atk or def) so that their lifepoit gain effects can work. As for Air Neos, he provides massive lp, but is very weak and needs extra protection. Even MoP will not be enough.
Marie The Fallen One and Golden Ladybug
Both of these monsters provide lifepoints, and that too from a very good place, namely in your graveyard and hand respectively. There is nearly no cards that can stop them. D.D Crow can stop Marie, and Mind Crush and Trap Dustshoot work against the ladybug.
The Agent Of Force-Mars
What Fire Princess and the life gaining strategy does is, in the process of gain and burn, set up a lifepoint difference between you and your opponent. The Agent Of Force-Mars turns this lifepoint difference into attack points. Being a level 3, Mars could attack over Gravity bind and LLAB, and that too with an attack mocking that of Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon!!!

(Boring part-Advisable to skip!)
Some less effective cards that can be used with FP are Hysteric Fairy, Goblin Thief, Dian Keto the Cure Master, Absorbing Kid from the Sky, Guardian angle Joan, Elephant statue of blessing, Blessings of the Nile, Sebek's blessings, Gryphon's feather Duster, Survival instincts and White Magician Pikeru. The reason they are so bad is that they provide Lp only once, or relies on some condition being met.
Ways to counteract it:
Skill Drain works wonders. Spell/Trap removal can be effective as long as it does not concern Marie and Ladybug. Divine Wrath , the ultimate effect negator won’t work against FP since her effect is continuous!!
Strengths/Pros:
- Can be searched by both Sangan and UFO turtle
-Her effect is continuous, thus more difficult to counter
Weaknesses/Cons:
-Weak attack and defence points
-Attack points still too high to use her with Heart Of Clear Water
Variations:
This card is available as a Super Rare in Labyrinth Of Nightmare and as a common in Dark Beginnings 1. It has also been reprinted in the Gold Series pack 1. No wonder, she’s so good, the gold series would’ve been worthless without her!
Artwork and aesthetics:
The artwork is nicely done!! It depicts the picture of an august princess harnessing the flames around her with her magic quarterstaff!
Overall rating:
Definitely a 9/10 form me. If she had better stats, it would’ve been a 10. Fire Princess is a good, underated card. If you use her right, you will understand what I mean!
