General description:
Most people can't understand this card and it's awesome power. Read on to find out how to use this amazing card.
Uses:
This is the one card that people seem to get very confused about. The first two parts of the effect are very straightforward "Effects: Add 50 points to your Digimon Power. To use this card, send 2 cards Offline from your hand." It is the 3rd part that gets people,"Send your opponent's Rookie Digimon Offline if there are 2 or more Digimons in opponent's Duel Zone." What does this mean you ask? Let me explain. If there is more than one card on your opponent's duel zone, this occurs most often when they Digivolve, you may take the rookie at the bottom of that stack of cards on their duel zone and send it offline. What does that do? Well there is a universal rule that if you have no Digimon on your duel zone after the digivolve step you lose. So, with the rookie removed from the bottom of the Digivolve stack when their current Digimon loses instead of sending offline every card in the duel zone but the rookie they instead lose every card since there is no rookie. That means that unless they play a new rookie during the Digivolve phase of the next turn they automatically lose.
Strategies and game play:
This card is the end all of broken effects. Play this card when your opponent's Digimon is champion or higher and you feel you can defeat it. It will do you no good to get rid of your opponent's rookie if you can never defeat their active Digimon.
Combos with other cards:
Thankfully the only 2 cards that really combos with this card is the S version of Downgrade (ST-57S) and Spiritual Crystal. The S version of Downgrade downgrades your opponents ultimate to champion, this weakens your opponents digimon making it easier to defeat it. You can also use Spiritual Crystal to automatically win the Digi-Duel by reducing your opponent's digimon power to 0 and wipe out your opponent.
Ways to counteract it:
There are a few Digimon, such as Rapidmon (ST-135) that have the effect of voiding any power option cards. Most Digimon with this ability are armor Digivolved Digimon but there are a few others. However, the absolute best way to protect yourself is to have 2 or more rookies in your deck. A final way to counteract it is Apokarimon and Apokarimon Creepy Mode; these Digimon can be put onto the Duel Zone without being digivolved to but both have special requrements in order to do so.
Strengths/Pros:
A way to instantly win the game
50 point power boost
Weaknesses/Cons:
Can be negated
Must send 2 cards from your hand offline to use
Variations:
To my knowledge there were no Holo versions of the power option cards from Series 3-6. As such there is only 1 version of this card.
Artwork and aesthetics:
The art is simple yet effective. It's a Digital Gate from Season 2 of Digimon.
Overall rating:
The card has a great yet confusing effect. I give it a 8/10 as it loses points for bad wording.
