Crystal Lancer

Introduction:
- Upon the release of Evo-Crushinators of Doom expansion came a brand new mechanic known as Evolution Creatures. Since then, I wholeheartedly believe that Crystal Lancer is one of the strongest Evolution Creatures around.

Description:
- Crystal Lancer is an Evolution Creature for the Liquid People race of the Water civilization. For the cost of 6 mana, this 8000 power Evolution Creature has the "Double Breaker" ability and the ability to be "unblockable."

Strategy & Game-Play:
- The effectiveness of Crystal Lancer lies in its synergy with other Liquid People and their effects, plus costs, to unveil a unique Evolution. The 6 mana-cost of this creature is nothing compared to the mechanic's ability to ignore summoning sickness, along with its other special abilities. This card can quickly hit the field and shift the odds in your favor, for destroying 2 shields in a single attack and the immunity of the "Blocker" ability on its side.

Multi-Card Combinations:
- Crystal Lancer has a selection of Liquid People for it to evolve from, such as Aqua Guard (dropping this 1 cost LP with Lancer on turn 7 is a shocker), Aqua Vehicle, Aqua Hulcus (excellent draw card; however, I think it's limited or banned now, not sure...), Aqua Paladin (yeah, Paladin into a overrun with all of your LPs then evolve next turn for game), and Aqua Sniper (a 4 cost LP with Shield Trigger = good Lancer fodder).

- This card is very good to tutor for with Crystal Memory. And it doesn't have to worry too much about being killed easily either for its 8000 power and/or protection with Angler Cluster in a Mono-Water deck.

Countering:
- The usual cards could have a chance of eliminating it for the time being. However, running 4 of this card in a LP Mono-Water deck will make it hard to avoid.

Strengths/Pros:
- "Double Breaker" with an Evolution Creature is great, especially for Lancer.
- The "This creature cannot be blocked" clause makes this thing a quick attacker without much worry of being stopped.
- Running 4 of these in any Mono-Water will insure that it sees play anytime during a game that lasts more than 6 turns.

Weaknesses/Cons:
- To be honest, I've yet to see any cons for this card.

Rating:
- Crystal Lancer is a very interesting Evolution Creature and should see play in most Liquid People decks. I, therefore, give Crystal Lancer a 10/10.

Write reviews about the other Liquid People TCG evolutions as well. I'm looking forward to reading them.
