Scissor Scarab

Card text:

When you put this creature into the battle zone, search your deck. You may take a Giant Insect from your deck, show that Giant Insect to your opponent, and put it into your hand. Then shuffle your deck.

Scissor Scarab
She's a team player

General description:
A Giant Insect with 5000 power with the ability of searching your Deck for another Giant Insect and putting her into your hand upon entering the Battle Zone. Wait, won't Rumbling Terrahorn be better, since it only costs 5mana and allows you to search for any creature?

This card may seem bad to some, as her mana cost is over the 5mana mark and only allows you to search for a Giant Insect, but that why she's useful.

Strategies and game play:
For Evolution and Race-based Decks involving Giant Insects.

Combos with other cards:
This card may help with Ambush Scorpion, Obsidian Scarab and Giant Insect Evolutions.

Ways to counteract it:
This card isn't really dangerous, unless she gets the bonuses for her Race, like Gigio's Hammer's tap ability, and Relentless Blitz.

She can really help out in getting her friends to join in the action on the Battle Zone, and can use the benefits bestowed upon her Race and and evolve into bigger bugs.

Her high mana cost makes her more likely to be put into the Mana Zone, and she has no other special bonuses even though she costs 7mana.

Gragh. Who cares about variations?

Artwork and aesthetics:
She looks appealing to me, as I always had something for insects. But I can't say the same for those who don't like bugs, though.

Overall rating:
Tenko's rating: 8

Thanks for your time. Comments will be greatly appreciated. Do tell me if there are better Japanese Giant Insects with similar, if not better, abilities. This creature was meant for a Race-based Deck. And forgive my use of capitalization as well.

Yes, it's a great card to use in a giant insect deck. I'd use it too if I had a deck like that, an absolute team player like the article says.

Can you mention more combinations? Maybe a few combinations with cards from other civilizations? Or evolutions?

It would be really great if you could add the names of a few giant insect evolutions that might prove to be useful in this specific case.
