This is the first banned card, and it is the best card in the entire game, regardless of weather or not it is banned. This card introduced taking an extra turn without a draw back that directly occurs after summoning it. However, it is one of only two cards that offer a benefit that you must win with, or you must pay the ultimate price, the victory of the duel.
This card is very good, and it combos very well with other cards. It is very powerful alongside Petrova, where Cryptic Totem can be played without it being destroyed. There isn't really much to say, especially if it allows you to take a "free" extra turn. Remember, you lose the game at the end of it.
Strategies and game play:
The moment that this card hits, your chances of winning skyrocket. When this card was released, people were saying WTF all over the place, because the extra turn just seemed to be to good. The card really dosen't need Speed Attacker, since all of your other creatures get to attack again. Since it's a double breaker, and, unchanged, unfortunately, it also has Speed Attacker. This means that you only need to have one other creature with the ability to attack on the first turn Bombazar is summoned to win, obviously, if neither of your creatures get removed from the battle zone.
Combos with other cards:
This really, and obviously, goes without saying. It goes well with all other creatures, that's all there is to it really. But, the deadliest combo that is associated iwth this card goes in this order, Petrova, Cryptic Totem, and then, Bombazar. It's a combo, that if unstopped, allows you to win, plain and simple. The destruction effect obviously should have taken effect under the base power amount.
Ways to counteract it:
Obviously, based on the effects of this card, decks that are shield trigger heavy will pose a very great defense against decks centered around this card. Also, shield accel, especially Mana Nexus, would really stop Bombazar in it's track. A Holy Awe on the second turn means that you lose, plain and simple, regardless of how many creatures that you have. Even though, all of your creatures, including Bombazar, would probably break all of your opponents shields on the first turn anyway. Jil Warka, Time Guardian.
Two shields broken instantly
6000 power isn't bad
All creatures get to attack again
You lose the game at the end of that turn
Shield triggers are extremely effective against this card
Blockers can really retard this card
The Universe Gate
Balesk Baj, The Time Burner
Artwork and aesthetics:
Looks really cool, Sansyu did a great job here. Looks very Holy, has a fire sword.
Obviously this card gets a 10 out of 10
