Fortune Lady Dark
A Fortune Lady Archetype Review.

General description:
Like I said, this review will be one the Fortune Lady archetype instead of just one of the cards. I will tell a little about each one though. I like these cards because they have competitive potential and are just plain fun to experiment with.

Uses:
Since each card has a unique ability it is hard to give one solid use. It is mostly trying to keep them alive long enough to get their pending attack to devastating amounts and attack for a potential OTK kill on your opponent.

Strategies and game play:
As I said before, you are really just aiming to get as many on the field as you can as quickly as possible to raise their attack. This is where I will go in depth for each card.
Fortune Lady Light
One of the weakest cards attack wise but a staple in all fortune ladies. When it is removed from the field in any way you can special summon any fortune lady from your deck. If you have Future Visions on the field and summon Light, you use its effect to get a free fortune lady like Earth or Dark so you don’t have to tribute and then you gain their effects as well. Next turn you also get to have Light returned to your side of the field. Yay!
Fortune Lady Fire
If you think of burning when you think of the word fire guess what, you nailed this card. If a Fortune Lady summons it with an effect you get to A) Destroy an opponents monster and… B) Inflict damage to your opponent. As per usual you also get the level up attack effect.
Fortune Lady Wind
This is in my opinion, an upgraded version of Breaker The Magical Warrior. When Normal Summoned you destroy spell or trap cards on your opponent’s side of the field equal to the amount of Fortune Ladies you control (Including “Wind”).
Fortune Lady Water
A little bit harder to use but a better effect. If you are able to Special Summon this while you control a Fortune Lady OTHER THAN Water, you draw two cards. It is like to a Pot of Greed that can attack your opponent.
Fortune Lady Dark
One of the two tribute monsters for the Ladies. A harder to use version of Fortune Lady Light but it has a better attack. It starts at 2000 and goes up from there.
Fortune Lady Earth
Whoopdy Doo, another burn card. This card again has high attack compared to her counterparts. When her level increases inflict 400 damage to your opponent. So original…

Ways to counteract it:
I like using cards like Level Tuning, Level Return, and stuff like that originally used to synchro summon with ease. I guess it is pretty cool how that works. You could also just attack them while they are weak. In order to do that you will need to strike quickly.

Strengths/Pros:
Reasoning is a great card for this deck. It deals with different levels and your opponent losing stuff if they can’t guess it.
Secret Village of the Spellcasters is a perfect field card for this. If you control a spellcaster and your opponent does not then they lose the ability to use any spell cards.
Any Earthbound Immortal would work well because of the field support (Secret Village or Future Visions) will most likely be on the field at the time.

Weaknesses/Cons:
-No base attack
-Pretty basic effect

Variations:
ANPR & SOVR Rares

Artwork and aesthetics:
I really like the artwork because it gets to the point and looks pretty cool.

Overall rating:
LIGHT-9
FIRE-7
WIND-8
WATER-8
DARK-7 ½
EARTH-6 ½

As a whole- 9

Nothing someone hasn't already noticed just by looking at their cards, so I gave it a 2! How could you have forgotten that Skill Drain, Destiny Hero - Plasma and other cards that remove the effect of monsters completely shuts down this deck?!
