Usable Promo

General description:
With exception of the blue, black, and green titan, this is the best use of 6 mana for a creature in the format. The range of decks this card can be used for is pretty impressive.

Uses:
Probably the best use for this card is Fauna Shaman Naya, but with Knight of the Reliquary cycling in a few weeks, this deck kinda loses it's thunder but the good news is that Sun Titan goes well in B/W control as well as white weenie and gain decks.

Strategies and game play:
The best way to use him is to get a bunch of low costing creatures, stall till you hit mana curve and DOJ the field, than drop the Titan and rebuild to win. Also you can wall off, DoJ, than ST to draw.

Combos with other cards:
I like the wall off than Day of Judgment/All is Dust combo, plus the Titan, also wall of Omens, than low level haste creatures like Goblin Guide come in handy as well.

Ways to counteract it:
Removal, counters, essentially anything to keep him off the field or attacking

Strengths/Pros:
Vigilance which great because to activate effect he must attack.

Weaknesses/Cons:
Any removal from graveyard pretty much hoses this card also early game draw is pretty dead.

Variations:
As far as I know only the promo/regular version

Artwork and aesthetics:
I like the promo artwork, it really makes him look like a Titan; large, hulking and very powerful, the actual art kind of disappoints me, although the glowing eyes are erie, he looks like some emo guy with flowing long hair.

Overall rating:
I'd give this card a solid 8 in this set.

The only Titan who isn't really overpowered. I like this card (and the other Titans) and it's the only Titan I don't really fear when my opponent plays it (which I do for the other ones).

Wow, this dude is the reason solar flare worked at all. Ever faced down that deck and been like "yeah I got this"? Out of seemingly nowhere it can eat your face and spit your tongue back at you. Very underrated IMHO.
