General description:

Good afternoon, here is a review about Dimensional Alchemist, a Level 4 Fairy Light monster with 1300 attack and 200 defense. I hope you like it

effect on English: Once per turn, you can remove from play the top card of your Deck, this card gains 500 ATK until the End Phase. When this card is destroyed and sent from your side of the field to the Graveyard, you can select 1 of your removed from play monsters and return it to your hand.

Uses:


This card can be very useful in RFG and Macro Decks, and also as a deck thinner to speed up the deck.

Strategies and game play:

This card's main strategy consists in removing cards from the top of your deck so, when it is sent to the Graveyard, you can return one removed monster back to your hand. So, if you remove one monster with its effect, you can get it back when Dimensional Alchemist is destroyed and make your move.

Combos with other cards:

Dimensional alchemist+plague+necroface:With Dimensional Alchemist on the field, use Plaguespreader's effect to put Necroface on the top of your deck and use Alchemist effect to remove it from play, which will remove 5 cards from both players' decks and let you return one of those removed monsters to your hand if Alchemist is destroyed.

soul absorption+ dimensional alchemist : Once per turn, remove the top card with Dimensional Alchemist's effect and gain 500 Life Points

call of the haunted+typhoon+ dimensional alchemist: With Call of the Haunted set and Dimensional Alchemist in the Graveyard, if your opponent tries to use something like Hyunlei or MST on CotH, chain it to summon Alchemist and, when destroyed, you add a removed monster to your hand.

allure of darkness+any monster+dark hole+dimensional alchemist: Remove a Dark monster with Allure, destroy Alchemist as well as any other monster with Dark Hole, and return the removed Dark to your hand.

Celestial Transformation + dimensional alchemist+ Inferno Reckless Summon: Use Celestial Transformation to Special Summon a Dimensional Alchemist from your hand and have him destroyed at the end of that turn to use his effect. If you have more copies of it when you summon it, you can also use Inferno Reckless Summon to bring them out and they won't self-destruct when the turn ends.

Strengths/Pros:

It gives speed to the deck, when it uses its effect it gains 500 ATK for that turn, and when he is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard you can return a removed monster to your hand.

Weaknesses/Cons:

It has very low defense so a Book of Moon plus any monster destroys it easily yet you still gets its effect, and it has to hit the Graveyard to return a removed monster to your hand so a Dimensional Prison screws it.

Artwork and aesthetics:

I love this card's picture, it's one of the things that made me write this review. It seems to me that he is in another dimension and that he is gathering power in his hands that removes from play the top card from the deck to power himself up.

Overall rating:

I would give this card an 8, as the removal helps to speed up the deck and is pretty cool. However, while Macro Cosmos and Dimensional Fissure are on the field his effect won't work so...
