Well, this time I wanted to do this review about Battle Fader. Although this card is really weak, talking about its Atk/Def, it can be sometimes useful. That’s why I like it so much. It’s a Fiend-Type Monster, with 0 Atk/ 0 Def and its attribute is Dark.
Its effect is pretty simple. When your opponent’s Monster declare a direct attack, you can Special Summon it and end the Battle Phase inmediately. However, if this card was Special Summon with this effect, when this card is removed from the field, it’s removed from play.
This card can be used in majority of decks, but it’s really useful when it’s used in decks like:
Burns like Anti-Cure and Chain Burn (Protection)
Monarch (Tribute Fodder)
Reptilliane (Tribute Fodder for Vaskii)
SalvoDad (Tribute Fodder for Caius)
Strategies and game play:
In general, the strategy this card has is to stop direct attacks. I like this card because your opponent cannot prevent and know about this card, he is not warned. Tribute Fodder, Synchro Material, Protection, etc. An excellent card.
Combos with other cards:
-Battle Fader + 1 Monarch: Trying to stop your opponent’s assault, and counter attacking using the huge potencial Monarchs have. You can turn the table to your favor
-Battle Fader + Reptilianne Vaskii: Same as before. Tribute this card and another Monster with 0 Atk to Special Summon this card from your hand. Protection and offense with a Monster with 2600 Atk and an excellent effect. Nice combo!
-Tyrant's Temper + Battle Fader: As you know, after Battle Fader was special summoned from your hand, it is not as much neccesary to keep it in your field. Tribute it to actívate Tyrant’s Temper, and make your monsters immune to your opponent’s trap cards.
-Battle Fader + Soul Absorption: After being special summoned with its effect, when it is removed from the field, gain 500 Life Points.
-Battle Fader + Dimensional Alchemist: Automatically, return Battle Fader from your removed card zone to your hand, to prevent your oponent attacking directly again.
-Battle fader + Cyber Valley: Special Summon it when your opponent attack directly. In your next turn, normal summon Valley and remove it from play and your Battle Fader to draw 2 cards. Brilliant Draw Engine!!

- It cannot be negated by Torrential, but destroyed
- It can be Special Summon
- Excellent Protection
- It helps you to make a counter attack
- Just useful for direct attack
- If it is not special summon, it’s effect cannot be activated
- It is removed from play when it is removed from the field
- Useless card if it is in the field, without being special summon by its effect
- 0/0 and a Fiend-Type Monster, which Type is not support as players wish

Artwork and aesthetics:
I really dislike its art, due to its appearance like an ugly bat that has a little clock, and four winds. I mean, it’s bad. However, having a clock, it makes me think that it stops time, so something has to do with its effect
9. It can make powerful and fast combos, and it’s really useful for protection and control. Useless in field without being special summoned before.
