General description:
3/2 for 2. Pretty good. Definitely better than average. But wait, trample, too?! Not bad at all, especially for a common.

Uses:
Companion easily runs through chump blockers. Many people won't block him early on, either.

Strategies and game play:
Try to get Garruk's Companion out early, this will allow attacks to start as soon as turn three. The first one or two attacks will probably sneak through. That's when you want to have some pump in your hand to put the hurt on early.

Combos with other cards:
Like most green creatures, Companion works great with pump spells. Groundswell, Primal Bellow, Giant Growth. You can't go wrong.

Ways to counteract it:
The best way to get rid of him is easy-kill black like disfigure, or sending a Lighting Bolt at him. He's pretty vulnerable at two toughness, but try to take care of him early on.

Strengths/Pros:
This card has improved power its cost, and basically, free trample.

Weaknesses/Cons:
Easily killed or removed.

Variations:
Just one art, premiered in M11.

Artwork and aesthetics:
Fairly bland forest background centering a... weird mutated okapi? Meh.

Overall rating:
7 out of10. Pretty poor toughness, but he is just a common and only costs two mana.
