the rarest common card

the rarest common card
ANH 138 Luke skywalker (d)
with the larger (aotc style) fonts lower left in the P & H blocks

History--
To advertise the release of the game - WOTC placed folders
in certain sealed publications (inquest gamer magazines) with a
common card included - the first two (a & b) had AOTC cards
inserted - the next batch (c & d) had ANH cards inserted -
(a) 157/180 obi-wan kenobi (c)
(b) 136/180 flying geonosian squad
(c) 138/180 luke skywalker (d)
(d) 160/180 stormtrooper patrol

it appears that (a), (b), and (c) were printed early - with (d) coming later - because the first three have the larger (aotc) fonts in the lower left - while (d) has the regular (all expansions after aotc) font in the P & H blocks

the oddity here is that (c) was the only card released with the P & H block done in both fonts -

along with the color variation on "trash compactor", this appears to be
the only card to be changed after it first printing - no correction cards were ever issued to fix the 170 count on ROTS cards 10 & 64 or the Jango Fett/Aurra Sing duplicate letter releases

cards reviewed by me will be from the view point of a collector and will not go into game play - there are a lot of interesting tidbits of information concerning SWTCG that need to be passed along to other collectors and i am hoping to help with that aspect of the game -

if you have any "off the wall" information and wish it researched and documented - please feel free to drop me a line and i will see what i can do about it

lets keep the game interesting for one and all
