Clone Warrior 4/163 Promo

my reviews are strictly from a collectors standpoint - there is no game play information involved - just some facts about the cards that collectors might find interesting

the lonesome six (sealed promos)
this is the name i gave to the 6 promo cards
that were distributed as a single card sealed
(along with a promotional card) item
promo #1 - Anakin Skywalker (c)
promo #2 - Zam Wesell (b)
promo #3 - Clone Warrior 4/163
promo #12 - Luke Skywalker (c)
promo #13 - Jango Fett (d)
promo #14 - Darth Vader (c)

History -
#1 was in the bagged magazines SW Insider #60 and SW Gamer #10 -
#2 was distributed at various sci-fi conventions in 2002
#3 was given out at KayBee stores as a promotion
#12 was in the bagged magazine SW Insider #63
#13 was included in the video game Star Wars -
Bounty Hunters - Specially marked
#14 was included in the video game Star Wars -
A New Droid Army - Specially marked

the promotional cards included in each were
for card no. 12,13,14 - a black card - yellow print
"buy 3 boosters, get one free" - across the top -
a new hope boosters packs pictured to the left and a
small promotional paragraph to the right. The reverse
side has a mail-in form in yellow block.

for card no. 1,2 - a black card - blue print on right -
"buy a Star Wars two-player TCG - get a free booster"
AOTC 2 player game pictured to the left and a small
promotional paragraph to the right - the reverse side
has a mail in form in blue block

the oddity
is card no 3 - a blue card with yellow
framing - "Star Wars $3.00 off " - KB toys promotion.
the reverse side had a long legal disclaimer at the top
and the bar codes for the 3 dollars off at the bottom -
no mail-in was necessary

Availability - in the sealed condition only -
cards no 1 , 2 and 12 are fairly easy to find sealed
cards no 13 and 14 can still be found in the video games
put up on ebay by video game players who had no
interest in the TCG card (and include it with the game)
card no 3 - is extremely rare - seeing only one in over
18 months on ebay.

cards reviewed by me will be from the view point of a collector and will not go into game play - there are a lot of interesting tidbits of information concerning SWTCG that need to be passed along to other collectors and i am hoping to help with that aspect of the game -

if you have any "off the wall" information and wish it researched and documented - please feel free to drop me a line and i will see what i can do about it

lets keep the game interesting for one and all

Where did you find all the information where the promos were originally given out? I have 2 promos which I was given as part of a larger collection and can only assume they were given out as prizes at tournaments... Really appreciate these reviews!

did a lot of research on these - still getting information on stuff not included in the wotc web site - some information comes from fellow card traders - other comes from ebay searches - i have a complete list (still working on some stuff) available - will communicate with you on this
