Ballcadeias, Overlord of Demons
It finally happened...

Where it all started....

Like Yin and Yang, These two have been in eternal battle for so many years; and now they decided to put aside their differences and join up to face a common enemy.

After 34 DM Sets and plenty of DMC Decks, Alcadeias Lord of Spirits and Ballom Master of Death, remain to be two of the most Reprinted, and Popular Cards of the TCG. Arriving in the days of Shadowclash of Blinding Night (DM-04) These two made their grand appearances. Now years later, and with the release of DM-38,Angelic Wars, we get the Surpisingly Fusion of the two: Ballcadeias. Surprising because i honestly expected a Vortex Evolution Creature.

ShadowClash of Blinding Night (DM-04)

Angelic Wars (DM-38 )

Let's see what he can do, now that he's all fused together:

OK, His cost is steep, (Going at 10 Mana!) Which, if you think about it is reasonable; Alcadeias is 6 and Ballom is 8, not to mention that their upgrades cost 10 as well (mentioned in the variations section)

Well, Ballcadeias took the best of his two counterparts, and made it his own...

From Alcadeias side of the family tree, Ballcadeias inherited the spell disabling, making it so that only light spells can be cast from both players. He made it into his own, upgrading and expanding on that. Your opponent can't play any spells period. As long as Ballcadeias is there, your opponent's spells (triggers included) are permanently locked for the rest of the game. Now for Ballom's side.

Ballom destroys all creatures that aren't darkness civilization. (And as a side note for those ignorant on this fact: Multicivilization creatures, who are half dark, survive Ballom's attack. Reason being that they are counted as 2 civilizations. So it's gonna be a Darkness Creature, and whatever the other civilization is.) Just Like Alcadeias, Ballcadeias takes it into his own. He kills EVERYTHING except himself; no exceptions. Creatures that can't be chosen as a target to effects, are killed because they aren't chosen specifically; if it affects the entire field, then everything's wiped out. He's a Walking Nuke basically. CoD players probably know that getting a 25-killstreak means Game Over for everyone, and is a great achievement for any addict.

So yeah, 10 mana's steep, but he can nuke the entire field and Triple Break your opponent; and if they get any spell triggers? who cares, they're useless

Armed and ready to get to work; So what's the plan?:

Experiment 2: Ballcadeias Is my plan to use Ballcadeias. His "Queen" Is Supernova Neptune Shutrom, In case he can't make it onto the battlezone, She takes charge. The deck focuses on using Ashliger and Maxval, Electro-fuuma to decrease the cost of the Darkness creatures and the Angel/Demon commands, allowing for a faster summoning, along with plenty of back up from other powerhouses. Decent and Successful strategy. Below i'll go more into detail of certain creatures that make him shine.

If You wanna have him, you gotta work for it:
Fortunately you have plenty of help;

Good kitty

Ashliger, Holy Dark Beast, Decreases the Cost of both Angel Command and Demon Command by 2, just like Kirino Giant of Nature, and Cocco Lupia for fire (Each decreases the cost of Giants and Dragons respectively)

Ultimus, Spirit of Divine Law has become a favorite of mine; A 4 mana Angel Command, that Serves as a blocker. easy summoning, and once it dies, you can search for a spell with Shield Trigger. Serves useful if you cant seem to get a Shield to trigger or if you need something to rid yourself of your opponent's creatures in an easy way. and once again, it's evo bait for Ballcadeias.

Maxval Electro-Fuuma Decreases the cost of Darkness Creatures by 1. Combine this with Ashliger and Ballcadeias' cost will drop to 7 at least. Add another Ashliger and that makes 5 mana cost. Isn't math fun? (yeah didn't think so)

Supernova Neptune Shutrom, such a lovely sight, and perfect for Ballcadeias' Queen. She's the Result of a Galaxy Vortex between Angel Commands, Demon Commands and Grand Devils. and with both of them on the field, it's a deadly sight (Literally, I can only imagine.)

Shutrom can clear a field using her meteorburn, sending all of your opponent' creatures to the top of their deck. And With Ballcadeias' abilities, Game, Set Match. No Spell Triggers)

And notably, the all so loving:

Bronze-Arm Tribe! Seriously, If you're planning on summoning a 10 mana costing creature, who else is better to turn to than Bronze-Arm tribe and his Nature Pals?

The list goes on and on, but this should give you a basic idea on how to combine him with other creatures.

I Have an Idea! But in order to do it, I'm gonna need A) Water B) a Lightning Bolt and C) A Surf Board:

As a Special Rare occasion: Terror Pit; The single most used Anti-Creature Card that's memorized by every single duelist known WONT WORK!! Oh Crud!

But When there's a Will, There is a Way; and I Have a WAY!

Everybody's gone Surfin'
Surfin USA
(Aqua Surfer)

Ballcadeias, Negates Spells, Not Creatures; In order to get rid of Ballcadeias, You gotta use Creatures with abilities to get rid of him. Water and Darkess does wonders at that (The irony)

Corile Sends the bounced creature to the top of the deck. Ballcadeias can't stop that. And you saw Aqua Surfer above, he sends the creature back to your opponent's hand. Its Shield Trigger so this comes in great handy.

Why is Ballcadeias so Awesome?
The Ability to take 2 deadly abilities and revamp them to today' standards, Ballcadeias does that and does it so well.

Why is Ballcadeias so... (insert word here):
The only fault that i can really see is the 10 mana issue; However we've all been through that so its not so much of a big deal if you're really patient.

Over The Years...:
For the variations i'm gonna do a little comparison between the two Sides. Starting with:

The Original Duo (Alcadeias and Ballom)

He is back; Back again... (Stallob the Life Squasher)

Following in their ancestor's footsteps (Alphadios and Dorballom)

(In the DM-21 Commercial, This creature shows to be Darkness Civilization Alcadeias; His name is Dark Arcadia Devil Saint, the only Darkness mono-civilization Angel Command)

Husband and Wife (King and Queen Alcadeias)

Ballom's Baby Brother (Ballom Emperor)

Ballom at his Temp Job as the Grim Reaper (Ballom Monarch, Dark Reaper King)

Alcadeias was killed and converted into an Alien, While Ballom took it upon himself to put his Friend's soul to rest, for his sake...

(Gaga Alcadeias and Ballom Hunter)

A Sight for Sore Eyes

I know for a fact that people probably tried to make fanart for this creature due to the duo's popularity; this card is extremely interesting in that it takes Ballom and puts him into Alcadeias' armor, and it also gives him the Black and White Wings; If this was made for a Card submission contest; Then whoever came up with Ballcadeias: Kudos to you, this is awesome.

Overall rating:
I'm giving it a 10. Reasons being that he's Based on two of the most popular creatures in the TCG (Others being Bolshack and Bolmeteus for example) and that he lives up to his legacy of powerful and mighty creatures. Also his immunity to spells is a great factor to take into consideration as well. There, for all of you Alcadeias/Ballom fanatics, i hope i did this review to your expectations and I thank you for reading.

You forgot about its Soul effect...In fact, you can summon it around 5th-6th turn with Shinran, the Awakener:
Evolution: Put on 1 of your Holy Soul creatures.
Double Breaker
When this creature is destroyed choose one of the following effects:
Put 1 of your Holy Soul creatures into the battle zone from your hand.
Put the top card of your deck into your shields face down.
Holy Soul

This does give you an alternative method of summoning Ballcadeis.

Good Review btw

Pretty nice review, bumping so others can see.

I found out a pretty interesting counter for this card:Skull Moon,The Enlightened.
Not sure how Ballcadeias's ability works, but if it works like I think it does, then Skull Moon should make Ballcadeias self-destruct.

In the same sense, Ribbity Frog also a perfect counter, least no more creatures in the Battle Zone. I now understand where did Tudordan's reviews starts off from with all the family members of Balloms
