Procyon Dragoon
Card text:
* When you first put a card into your mana zone during your turn, you may put 1 card in your mana zone into your graveyard. If you do, return that card to your mana zone.
Fool! I don't know what you were thinking! That obviously doesn't do anything! -Psychen Pippi
So getting inspired frm my first review which was Double Revolver Dragon. I thought of writing my second review. this time it is about a darkness creature.
I choose this creature bcoz i have not seen anyone using this creature well i don't blame them bcoz even me , when first i saw this card i thought that this creature is really useless and it has no use . Procyon Dragoon first came in sight in King of Duel Road 7. and it was a useless creature but after the release of Episode 1: First Contact i realize that woooooooo this creature is very good if used properly. So lets see that what this card can do.
Uses:
Its a creature having 4 mana and power 4000 so mana wise and power its quite satisfactory .And now lets have a look on its effect "When you first put a card into your mana zone during your turn, you may put 1 card in your mana zone into your graveyard. If you do, return that card to your mana zone" . At first sight this effect really seems useless but if we use this creature in a deck consisting of creature having space charge effect .
Space charge effect activates when u put a card in your mana zone and here is the card which will help u to use space charge effect very easily and much more effectively. So lets go on to see which creature have this effect and what strategies we can use with procyon dragoon.
Strategies and game play:
As Procyon Dragoon have effect that "When you first put a card into your mana zone during your turn, you may put 1 card in your mana zone into your graveyard. If you do, return that card to your mana zone". So an easy attempt is that we can use this card in darkenss/water deck (as i have seen many people using this combination) and in fourth turn we summon this Procyon dragoon and then a chain of effects starts. For example have a look on this card.
Cebu Sargas Bouzu
this creature have a space charge effect that whenever u put a darkness card in your mana zone one of your creature gain slayer. So normally when u will put a darkness card in your mana zone one of your creature will gain slayer but if u have Procyon Dragoon u can put that darkness card frm your mana zone in your graveyard and again put it in your mana zone frm your graveyard (according to procyon dragoon effect) so instead of one two of your creature gets slayer.
Altair Cebu Crawler
this creature have a space charge effect that whenever u put a darkness card in your mana zone u can destroy one of your opponent's untapped creature. So now u can imagine that if u have procyon u can destroy two of your opponent's untapped creature in one turn and losing two creature in one turn is really annoying.Especially u can easily get rid of irritating creatures like
Queen Alcadeias
Alcadeias.
and many other irritating small creatuers which gives many problems in a game like
murmur
now lets have a look on combos of this card with other creatures.
Combos with other cards:
First lets start with this creature
Fuuma Zabi Volf
this creature have a space charge effect that whenever u put a water card in your mana zone one of your creature will be become unblockable. So now we all know that how important is when sometime our opponent have an army of blockers and all we need is just one attack to finish him and this creature space charge effect mixed with procyon dragoon can give us two unblockable creatures.
Gaga Naos, Steel Cyclops
well this is my favorite creature bcoz it has a space charge effect that "whenever u put a water card in your mana zone Look at 1 of your opponent's shields. You may have your opponent put the top card of their deck under that shield. If you do, your opponent puts all the cards you looked at on the bottom of their deck."
A perfect counter for Milzam
and its shield plus ability and even if your opponent summon two milzam no worry as u have procyon dragoon in your battle zone so u will be able to see on both of them .
Gaga Shaula, Spirit of Understanding
this creature have a space chrage effect that whenever u put a nature card in your mana zone the cost of your next creature that u summoned is reduced by one so with the help of procyon dragoon it will become 2 less (a little like cocco lupia).
and in similar pattern u can use all these creature's space charge effect twice in one turn
Gaga Theta, Seeker of Wisdom
Space Charge: Water Whenever you put a Water card into your mana zone,Draw 1 card.
Geo Coffee Kid
Space Charge: Fire, Whenever you put a Fire card into your mana zone, Destroy 1 of your opponent's creatures with 1000 power or less.

Elnath Gaga, Enforcer of Tectonic Shifts

Geo Samurai Giant

Gil Albireo Dragoon

Gil Luyten, Green Steel Claw
Space Charge: Nature Whenever you put a Nature card into your mana zone, This turn, this creature gets +4000 power.
Mars Gil Hydra, the Explosive
Space Charge: Darkness Whenever you put a Darkness card into your mana zone, Return 1 creature from your graveyard to your hand.
Million Percent, Darkness Zabi
Space Charge: Fire Whenever you put a Fire card into your mana zone, his turn, this creature gains "Power attacker +5000" and breaks an additional shield.
Necrodragon Zabi Cassiopeia
Space Charge: Water Whenever you put a Water card into your mana zone, Discard all cards in your hand, then draw five cards.
Regulus Gil Dragon
Space Charge: Nature Whenever you put a Nature card into your mana zone, This turn, 1 of your creatures in the battle zone gets +5000 power and breaks an additional shield. This turn, when that creature attacks, put the top card of your deck into your mana zone.
Spell Cebu Barrock
Space Charge: Light Whenever you put a Light card into your mana zone, You may have the next spell you cast this turn cost up to 2 less to cast. However, it can't cost less than 1.
Zabi Gliese, Flamethrower Treasure
Space Charge: Fire Whenever you put a Fire card into your mana zone, Destroy 1 of your opponent's creatures with "Blocker" that has 4000 power or less.
All those creatures makes a good pair with procyon dragoon but in last i will introduce a creature which give procyon dragoon very much help and will also help u in using any space charge effect any time with any civilization card and that is
Balmy wind fairy courtney
this will give your every card every civilization so u can use any space charge with any card and twice with help of procyon dragoon. and i don't have to tell that if u have two of procyon dragoon in your battle zone then what effects u can use with it.
Ways to counteract it:
this creature is not really hard to counteract as it is summoned on 4th turn so it can be easily killed by spell like
Prison smash
Death Smoke
Magic Shot Arcadia Egg
and u can also use super spark
to tap it and destroy it by attacking it with any small creature having slayer or there are many creature with power attacker on small mana or some speed attacker espcially
Magmadragon Gardos
using gardos with chitta peloru can easily destroy it.And also some evolution creatures can help u in destroying this creature like
Startdash Buster, Divine Hero Mech
As this evo will easily put procyon dragoon in mana so u dont have to worry about procyon . and also its upgraded version can help u which is
Super Startdash Buster Divine Hero Mech
Strengths/Pros:
This creature cost 4 so u can easily summon it bcoz mostly good space charge effect creatures cost more then four so procyon will come before them and will easily help u. and if we look on it mana and power ratio then its quite useful that it has 4000 power on 4 mana. and its a perfect bait also for some evolution creatures (in case if u don't want to use it with space charge creatures) like
Startdash Reviver, Crystalline Shadow
and ofcourse its upgraded version
Super Startdash Reviver, Crystalline Shadow
.
Weaknesses/Cons:
If it comes to disadvantages then i can say that this creature does not have too many disadvantages. bcoz its a 4 mana creature having 4000 power and i don't think that getting a 4000 power creature on 4 mana is any disadvantage. But like all cards if this card does not come to hand until 4 to 6th turn then its pretty useless. and also its a tyrano drake so there are a very few good evolutions which evolve frm a tyrano drake. But we don't need to evolve it so as far as i think this creature dont have many disadvantages
Variations:
If we talk about its variations then this card is released in two sets only
one of them is "King of Duel Road: Strong 7"
and one is "Deck Builder DX: Alien Edition"
Artwork and aesthetics:
well I like the artwork of this card . it looks good that a creature with yellow claws and a little thunder around it. and it goes perfectly with its name.
Overall rating:
On whole i will give this card 9/10.
bcoz its not a evolution creature so u don't need any base creature to evolve it. and also it does not cost high (only 4) so u don't have to wait to summon this creautre. But again this is only my thinking . Now its upto u what u guys think.
First of all thanks for your votes nolan and waileukwu. And waileukwu i have corrected the picture of regulus gil dragon's picture. And u have to wait a little i will give a sample deck very soon.
actually what impresses me most is that you didn't just introduce a creature, but introduced a newer abilities that not a lot people use or knows of. And then all those visual aid...well, you have the patience to do all that Even I skip what i can skip for my card reviews.
Thanks waileukwu. I just tried my best to show what that creature can do and which creatures can make pair with it so i make sure that i gave info on all cards so that all players especially newbies don't have any confusion or difficulty to use it.
This review looks a lot more better than the first one. I can see you have improved your writing skills, and it's not full of silly mistakes as the previous one, unfortunately, was.
However,
"General description:"
"Uses:"
"Strategies and game play:"
"Combos with other cards:"
etc.
STOP using that. Seriously, stop.
The best card reviews are ones that dicuss a long range of topics within one consistent text. By using those headings, it's almost the same as cutting your review into 10 different parts. It is also somehow making the whole text less imaginative. While using tco default headings, writing a review is like answering 10 questions. "Write general description of the card.", "Describe some uses of the card" etc. It's... Boring. However, writing without those headings is just like an essay. Given that someone knows what to write about, it is certain that his text would be much more interesting in such a form.
So yeah, tco headings. Try writing your next review without those.
