Heys guys it's Anas here im doing a review on Knight named Doomcaliber Knight Hope you guys enjoy it so please GIVE RATES AND COMMENTS....

General description:
This card is a level 4 dark attribute fiend type monster. It boasts an impressive 1900 atk and a solid 1800 def for a level 4 monster. It's effect reads "This card cannot be special summoned. When an Effect Monster's effect is activated, you must tribute this card. Negate that effect's activation and destroy the monster." With an effect like this you might wonder how this card would be useful without hurting yourself. It's effect to tribute itself and negate an effect monsters effect is mandatory so you have to be cautious when using this card. It is best used later in the game to cripple your opponents resources. The reason I like this card is it's uses in stopping so many commonly played cards such as Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter, Super-Nimble Mega Hamster, Dandylion and Gravekeepers Spy. This card is any flip effect monsters worst enemy. It not only has the capability to stop most other level 4 monsters but, also the ability to shutdown key cards your opponent needs in order to gain an advantage. This card can easily become a -2 toward your opponents resources which makes it a fantastic choice for any anti-meta deck.

Uses:
I don't recommend starting a game out by summoning this card as your opponent will most likely get rid of it right away. This card should be played when your opponent has a strong effect monster on the field or when they set a monster that might possibly have a powerful flip effect. It's also good to use against an opponent that has a weak monster on the field and nothing on the field to defend it with because, this card does not fear Kalut or Honest. This card can be used in a variety of decks but, because of it's effect it is not usually seen in effect monster heavy decks. The best deck to put this card in would probably be a Stun Deck aimed toward beating Meta decks.

Strategies and gameplay:
When this card arrives on the field it means business. It's effect is not biased and therefore should be feared and respected by both players. There aren't too many monsters out there that create such a presence once summoned. Be careful not to get any of your own monsters killed and only use this card when it's necessary. Just because you draw this card doesn't mean you should play it right away. Even though it is not as widely effective as other cards in terms of overall playability the magnitude of it's effect more than picks up the slack.

Combos with other cards:
Some useful combos you could use with other cards include forcing the activation of your opponents effect monsters mandatory or optional effects and negating it with this card. For example you could activate smashing ground if your opponent has a Stardust Dragon on the field. The opponent would most likely use Stardust's effect to negate Smashing Ground and would trigger Doomcaliber's effect. You could also use this card in combination with Smashing Ground against a card such as Light and Darkness Dragon to force the activation of it's effect in order to destroy it with Doomcaliber.

Ways to counteract it:
The best ways to counteract this card would be to use cards that negate monster effects such as Divine Wrath or Gladiator Beast War Chariot, use destruction cards such as Smashing Ground or Fissure, use defensive cards such as Waboku and Book of Moon or by using cards that remove it from play such as Dimensional Prison or D.D. Warrior Lady. The other and most obvious way to destroy this card is by summoning a monster with more atk than it.

Strengths/Pros:
1. This card has very high attack for a level 4 monster.
2. This card has good defense for a level 4 monster.
3. This card has a powerful effect.
4. This card can be used with dark or fiend type support cards such as Allure of Darkness or Yami.

Weaknesses/Cons:
1. This cards effect is mandatory and therefore can damage you as well as your opponent.
2. This card cannot be special summoned.
3. This card can sometimes be situational.

Variations:
The only two versions of this card are the ones thatwere given away to the winners of Shonen Jump Events and the ones found in Turbo Pack 1.

Artwork and aesthetics:
The artwork on this card is pretty cool and suits it quite well.

Overall rating:
1(garbage)-10(staple) 8/10 Pretty darn good!

You did a good review of this card. I have always liked the art work on it and have wanted to use it in a deck but i don't run stun builds for anything so i really can not use this card effectively.

However i must point out that i think that you are wrong about what you said about light and darkness dragon. since it is also a mandatory effect and is not limited to once per turn i think that you are able to use its effect multiple times in a single chain which means that doom caliber's effect would activate in response to dragon activating it's effect and then dragon's effect would activate again negating doom caliber's effect and destroying it leaving dragon on the field 1000 points weaker but still there.

Doomcalibur Knight is a great card, it does have the manditory activation effect but it can be pretty helpful at times
