Hi guys this is Matt here with my first ever card review. Vanilluxe is a stage two pokemon from the noble victories set, 130 hp, with two attacks, a weakness to metal, no resistance, and a retreat cost of 2. First thing you should note is that it only has 130 hp. In the current format with all the high hp basics, I'm lookin at you Mewtwo EX & you Darkrai EX, 130 hp doesn't seem like enough. Hold on though. It's first attack Double Freeze for 1 water and 1 colorless lets you flip two coins with each heads doing 40 damage and also if either coin is heads it paralyzes the defending pokemon which basically locks it in place unless your opponent runs switch or another such trainer card. The second attack Frost Breath for 2 water does a straight 60. I would only use the second attack for a ko, and use Double Freeze for everything else. Weakness to metal is just plain awesome since there are not too many metal decks to see any action. No resistance is no big deal either. Finally it has a mediocre retreat cost so you shouldn't be trapped active if you need to retreat.

I use this card in my own tournament deck along with Kyurem for high hp basics and ability Victini. Combo Vanilluxe's Double Freeze with Victini's Victory Star ability to give you an extra chance at damage and the lock! This card should be used in decks that try to lock their opponent in place and take control of the game. The best and only way I have found to counter-act this card is to catcher it up for the ko or ko its pre-evolved forms before it can lock you in place. The advantages of running this card is the ability to lock down an opponents active pokemon and get the easy ko. There have been no weaknesses found yet in using Vanilluxe. The artwork is a little ehhhh. It looks like a double scoop ice-cream/milkshake with the straw. My final rating of this card as a whole is 10 of 10!! If you run a water deck you need this card in your deck.

I was just testing this card in a deck and the truth that a good strategy can be very POWERFUL. If vileplum joints so they can not wear trainers and also you have another vineluxe in your bench can be unstoppable with a Victini on the bench.
The weak points are that it is a stage 2 and that my view requires vileplum if or if, because otherwise with a switch / super scoop up / warp / catcher can make you lose the advantage of double freeze attack.
One advantage is that against the former pokemon almost never lost (hehe) because no one can lose one stroke. The metal type are very weak but with the stadium out the weakness that it can be solved.
Also I think this card can be very annoying and powerful look.

I used the new format rules that will take place after worlds. Your right tho the weakness is that's its a stage2 but I don't consider it since I use a lot of other basics

It is a very powerful card, i have lost to this thing so many times that it isn't even funny. good job on the review, and your right the art work is a little ehh.

and being a stage two isn't really a hindrance since i have seen builds that just skip the phase one pokemon vinalite by using a rare candy and pokemon breeder build.
