Activate[V/R] : [Counter Blast (3)] Search for 1 Grade 2 or lower{Royal Paladin} from your Deck and call it as a Rear Guard, and shuffle that Deck.

General description:
For me this card is one of the most powerful cards in a royal paladins. But this unit is useless if you don't call any rearguards.

Uses:
This card is very useful to reach magic numbers (numbers that reach more than 20k).

Strategies and game play:
Don't call too many cards on the first turn when you ride Alfred. Call more cards when you have 8 or more cards in your hand so you would have enough cards to guard.

Combos with other cards:
This card is pretty good with a card that has a superior call skill so you don't have to waste cards but increase rearguards also margal cause alfred can't be boosted so it could increase strength without boosting but putting cards into soul.

Ways to counteract it:
My suggestion is guard with perfect guards or 2 10k guard.

Strengths/Pros:
Making people can't guard on you're battle phase. Its pretty good to do final turns.

Weaknesses/Cons:
You're opponent has a card that has a skill to retire you're rearguard units.

Variations:
The cards you should be aware of is blaster blade, berserk dragon and etc. This unit comes with an SP version and RRR version.

Artwork and aesthetics:
I think the artwork is pretty good. It artwork matches with its skill and text.

Overall rating:
I give this card 8 out of 10.

I agree that this is a very powerful card, but its ability to reach 20k is not very impressive, because grade 3 cards now can get limit break which makes them even better. while this card is good. soul saver dragon is for better in terms of gaining power

Since There is pendragon, palomeides, majesty lord blaster, marhaus and a few other grade 3's that can get bonus point and can be boosted as well alfred's worth droped alot even gancelot can attack wtih 20k+ for two turns if CB was saved properly and there is a booster of 6k+. And on comparision with Blond Ezel which is kinda counterpart of Alfred in gold paladin Alfred feels weaker even if it is slightly.
