This is probably one of the coolest ideas Pokemon has ever had in their TCG. A spiffied up remake? Awesome!
I personally do not play the game, but from my point of view competitive card players would probably only use this card for something to evolve from.
Strategies and game play:
The card could very well fit in with any fire deck (obviously).
Combos with other cards:
It would be very cool to see this card paired up with the other base set remakes.
Ways to counteract it:
This card can be easily counteracted, with only scratch and ember? Bring out any Water Pokemon with over 50 HP and it should be done.
-small retreat cost
-small amount of HP
This card is an ultra rare, 101/100 hidden card.
Artwork and aesthetics:
The artwork is the part of the card I love the most. It's an awesome holographic remake of the original base set Charmander.
