Scissor Eye
-The Worst Card in the Game?

This has been regarded for the longest period of time as the absolute worst card in the game, which also includes the English TCG version of Duel Masters and zounds of world wide players it had. It's also a pretty old and early card in the game and it was instantly the worst since the moment it was released.

Why? Everything about it is wrong.

It has a negative power to cost ratio which was usually normal for very early cards to preserve game balance, but we are talking cost 2 and 3 creatures here, that still had effects nonetheless and were good in rushes.

This card is literally the wrong power at the wrong turn, it's anything BUT what you should be playing at that turn, when you easily had 3000 power in 3 cost creatures or 4/3000 creatures with effect.

No effect is pretty horrible in this game unless your other stats are amazing, like huge power, but clearly this is about the worst negative ratio at the worst time.

Then on top of that his Race is absolute tripe, because even if Gel Fish were a pretty developed race with good cards, they had no Evolution creatures (which would still have had better baits) or support effects for the race.

And then finally it's also Water Civ, the one Civilization who's creature are the lowest power and who's quality depends entirely on the effect they have.

On a more serious note however, by contrast it has one of the most epic and hardcore flavor texts in the game. I mean just try to picture that imagery! It's gorgeous.

Story Time!

There was this one player back in the day that thought he was all that, and so he made a review about Scissor Eye claiming it was the best card in the game.

The logic went that in the TCG, when you play control decks you build up a field of small attackers, break shields and then when those shields became hand, you played Lost Soul and basically won it.

The kicker is that because he was playing a flat out vanilla card that is just horrible, his opponent will all of a sudden become "confused", wondering why he has something like that in the deck and why he played it, why he is attacking with it. It must be a non-threat, so he just lets it attack. Then he becomes worried about what the opponent is hiding until he plays Lost Soul and it's too late.

So therefore, the card is good because of its involvement in a very important part of the game, called deception, bluffing and misleading, and the real serious work and danger in the game comes from the playing.

There you have it...This card has the MAGICAL ability to all of a sudden make your opponent play badly and mindhack him into losing his skills.

That's pretty broken.

The guy was part trolling, part deluded. Relevant? You decide. The card itself still does less nothing tho, so this is about as useless of a play as you can make in Duel Masters.

"But Nera!!"...You guys cry out in confused bafflement. What good does this do us? Why review it then? Well, prepare to be mindblown...

Since this is just about the worst thing you can do in the game, and the worst type of logic fail you can have, you are now at rock bottom level. From here on, you can only go up!! Points of reference set you on a path for glory!

Most important point ever made by a card review in the history of card reviews ever? I like to think so...

That's the kind of satirical humor I was aiming for, shuriken. Since you are supposed to vote the review, NOT the card in question, hrhr.

I posted to say that I only saw the card had Recon Operation's effect the second time around, but that's a TCO error, the art obviously has nothing but a flavor text.

But I decided to keep it just because it kind of needs it lol. It would be interesting to say the least and no harm is really done.
