One of the ultimate boss monsters in this game

General description:
Although this card is very difficult to get onto the field, it is nearly impossible to destroy when you do. The card itself is fantastic, it cannot be destroyed by card effects that designate him which means the only way to destroy this guy is through battle (or card effects that do not single him out such as mirror force). This card came out after the Yugioh movie and since then remains as one of the most powerful cards in the game.

This card is used to control the field and ultimately stay on the field, because it is nearly impossible to remove.

Strategies and game play:
It is very hard to get this card out so you would basically need to build a deck around his summoning. Once he is on the field there is not much strategy to it, he is a giant monster with high stats that can barely be destroyed.

Combos with other cards:
This card does not combo with other cards very much, he is more of a lone-wolf destruction device. But I will talk about great ways to get him on the field. Add a future fusion to your deck to summon five headed dragon and send some (like 2 or 3) red eyes wyverns and a red eyes darkness metal dragon to the grave yard. this allows you to keep summoning red eyes darkness dragon for a while. the other monsters you can send for future fusion are blue eyes white dragons or white stone of legend (to send a blue eyes to your hand). if you've already got shining dragon in your hand might as well use future fusion on blue eyes ultimate.
Add cards to your deck that search out White stone's such as dread dragon. then keep some polymerization's and king of the swamps (to use as fusion material or search a polymerization). The your going to want a dragon's mirror (to fusion summon dragons by banishing materials from hand or grave).
If you draw a future fusion and have blue eyes shining dragon in your hand, you can essentially send white stones (send blue eyes to your hand) or blue eyes to the grave. then use a polymerization or dragons mirror to grab a quick ultimate dragon, and boom, you finally have your shining dragon (which if you sued white stones and a poly will have 3 stones, 3 blue eyes, and blue eyes ultimate in the grave minimum, increasing his attack to 5100 at least).

Ways to counteract it:
You can counteract this card by destroying him in battle (difficult but not impossible). You can stop his summoning by negating cards that you use to summon the ultimate dragon. You have to have him in your hand, which is not guaranteed every game. And his effect does not protect him from cards that effect him but do not target him alone, such as mirror force.

Fantastic stats and effect that protects him from almost everything.

Extremely difficult to summon. And if you draw this card when you cannot summon him yet, its kind of a dead draw that turn.

There are 3 versions of this card, one that came in booster packs, one that came out as a prize when you bought tickets to the yugioh movie, and one that is japanese.

Artwork and aesthetics:
I don't know how I feel about the artwork, he either looks amazing or kinda chubby with weird pointy spikes coming out of his head that look like elf ears. for such a crazy good monster the way he looks could be much better.

Overall rating:
this card is a 9.5/10 if you summon him, but its so hard to summon him I give him more of a 6/10 or 7/10.
