The New Elemental Dragons

General description:

This review is about the new elemental dragons that I have recently been testing and finding very successful. They are these level 7 Dragons for each element: FIRE (Blaster), WIND (Tempest), WATER (Tidal), and EARTH (Redox). They each have 2 identical effects and 1 unique effect. the identical effects are:
A) you can banish 2 dragons and/or (this dragon's element) monsters from your hand or graveyard to special summon this card.
B) when this card is banished you can add 1 dragon-type monster with the same element as this card to your hand from your deck.

This allows you to get some level 7 dragons on the field and in your hand fast each turn. From there you can create some easy Xyz Summons or high level synchro summons.

These elemental dragons are extremely useful for maintaining field control and card control. When you run them you can almost always get big monsters on the field and cards in your hand.

Strategies and game play:

You can use the smaller level 4 versions of these monsters: Burner (FIRE), Lightning (WIND), Stream (WATER), and Reactan (EARTH) - to get the level 7 versions on the field. then you can simply synchro summon and xyz big monsters with the level 7

Combos with other cards:

Works well with "Gold Sarcophagas" "Burial From A Different Dimension" "Return From A Different Dimension" "Dragon's Rebirth" "Sacred Sword Of Seven Stars" and Rank 7 Xyz Monsters such as "Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossac" "Number 11: Big Eye" and "Gaia Dragon, The Thunder Charger"

Ways to counteract it:

These dragons have a hard time when "Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo" is on the field with "Catapult Zone" or when the opponent can negate special summoning, or monster effects that are played off the field.

Most of these dragons are very fast at getting on the field and they all have great ATK or DEF ranging from 1600-2800 ATK and 1800-3000 DEF.

These cards cannot stay on the field for very long at all and are prone to any card effects spells or traps.

Overall rating:

This is the only time I have yet to give a 10/10, but I will because these dragons are so powerful at getting high power on the field so fast and they are not Limited or Forbidden. Yugioh has very few cards that are so useful as the Elemental Dragons that you can use.
