General description:
Evilswarm Ophion is a very powerful card that alone can shut down many decks. As long as it has an xyz material attached to it neither player can special summon a level 5 or higher monster, and it can be made with 2 level 4 evilswarm monsters. Many decks in today's meta are very reliant on being able to special summon high level monsters such as Elemental Dragons and Mermail. Ophion also has the ability to be able to search the deck for an infestation spell/trap card and this is useful in protecting Ophion.

Uses:
The main way to win with this card is to get it out as fast as possible and protect it. This strategy can completely shut down a lot of decks. Decks like Hieratics, Dragunity, Karakuri, and many other decks will not be able to do anything. A good Evilswarm deck is able to make Ophion a variety of ways and be able to protect it from spell, traps, and monster effects.

Strategies and game play:
There are 3 main ways to bring out Ophion:

1. Evilswarm Kerykeion:
This is the best Evilswarm monster in the deck and has to be run at 3 no exceptions. Kerykeion by itself will make Ophion, all you need is at least 2 other Evilswarm monsters in the grave. Its effect allows you to banish one Evilswarm monster and add another one to your hand and then you get an additional normal summon which means that you normal summon that monster to make Ophion.

2. Evilswarm Castor:
Castor allows you to normal summon an additional Evilswarm monster in addition to your 1 normal summon per turn. Also an important ruling is that Castor's effect does not activate it is continuous, so that means that cards like Effect Veiler, Fiendish Chain, and Breakthrough Skill have no effect on it. The only way it can be stopped is if a Skill Drain is already face up on the field when Castor is summoned. Castor also must be run at 3.

3. Rescue Rabbit:
Rescue Rabbit is able to bring out 2 level 4 normal monsters from the deck with the same name. Evilswarm Heliotrope is a level 4 normal monster, which means Rescue Rabbit can bring out 2 Heliotropes and then you can make Ophion. Run 2 Rescue Rabbits and 3 Heliotropes.

These are the fastest ways to bring out Ophion, other cards to use are Evilswarm Thunderbird and Mandragora which can be used with Castor and Kerykeion.

Combos with other cards:
Ophion is able to search for Infestation Pandemic and Infestation Infection from the deck. Pandemic protects all face up Evilswarm monsters from spells and traps. Infestation Infection allows for you to shuffle 1 Evilswarm monster from your hand or side of the field back to the deck and add any other Evilswarm monster from the main deck to your hand. This allows you to search for Kerykeion or Castor in order to make another Ophion.

Pandemic protects Ophion from spells and traps however it is still vulnerable to monster effects. So cards like Effect Veiler and Fiendish Chain can protect it from your opponent's monster effects.

Ways to counteract it:
The main way to counteract Ophion is to use a deck that does not special summon level 5 or higher monsters. Decks like Fire Fist, Macrorabbit, Infernity XYZ are great decks to use as Ophion has no effect on these decks. Also using rank 4 xyz cards like Gem Knight Pearl, Maestroke, and Gagaga Cowboy are great ways to get over Ophion.

Overall rating:
I give Ophion an 8 out of 10. It's effect can completely shut down many popular decks. However it does nothing against decks that do not special summon level 5 or higher monsters and it is vulnerable to monster effects.
