General description:
I feel that The Dreamer and the Dream is 1 of 2 staples dilemmas for 2nd Edition. Any card that can make you opponent discard is hand is worth being in almost every dilemma deck.
Uses:
To get the most out of the cards it's best use is when your oppnent has more then 4 cards in hand and is you know he won't coplete the mission. Nothing is worse than dropping the Dreamer and it's all for not when you Dhow you would use this card, or how you expect other people to use it
Strategies and game play:
To get the most out of the cards it's best use is when your oppnent has more then 4 cards in hand and is you know he won't coplete the mission. Nothing is worse than dropping the Dreamer and it's all for not when you he completes that mission and you used the dream over a card that might have stop the mission. I found that if you opponent discards their hand in the first 3-4 turns tey have to spend most counters on cards next turn which is a hugh advantage.
Ways to counteract it:
Playing any kind of speed mission solver deck. Keeping your hand empty.
Strengths/Pros:
It can wreck opponents for a turn or two. Very cheap cost for the effect.
Weaknesses/Cons:
Late game the effect is not as damaging. Fast decks never have a huge hand.
Variations:
Finding a NE version can be challenging but there's the Reflection 2.0 repint is easier to find
Overall rating:
I give this card a 8 out of 10. The only reason is the amount of speed decks and late in the game it won't save the day for you. Thus I never play with more then 2 in a deck. Having this with In Training (which I'll do a review on Wednesday) does a good job of slowing down many decks.
