Hi guys, this is my first time doing a card review so I'm not entirely sure what to put in this page but I'll try my best.
Personally, I really like this card because it's skill is really awesome especially because it messes with your opponent's field, one lock after another. He is also the grand ruler of 'Reverse' which I find kinda terrifying, turning 'Reverse' units into Link Jokers so it kinda makes him a boss or something.
This is perhaps the best unit Link Joker ever hope for. Finally, a card that can stop your opponent’s locked unit from being unlocked. As if that isn’t good enough, he also has an ultimate break that can automatically win a game if the requirements are met.
Strategies and game play:
Recommended deck build:
Grade 0 / Boost (17 cards)
6 x Critical Trigger
6 x Draw trigger
4 x Heal trigger
1 x Star-vader, World Line Dragon
Grade 1 / Boost (13 cards)
2 x Taboo Star-vader, Rubidium
2 x Barrier Star-vader, Promethium
3 x Engraving Star-vader, Praseodymium
3 x Planet Collapse Star-vader, Erbium
3 x Star-vader, Ruin Magician
Grade 2 / Intercept (9 cards)
3 x Star-vader, Cold Death Dragon
3 x Star-vader, Magnet Hollow
3 x Unrivaled Star-vader, Radon
Grade 3 / Twin Drive!! (11 cards)
5 x ‘Reverse’ units including Star-vader, "Яeverse" Cradle
3 x Star-vader, Infinite Zero Dragon
3 x Star-vader, “Omega” Glendios
You don’t need too many G2s because there will be a lot of G3s.. Draw triggers are helpful when you want to increase your hand size while critical triggers will be good for pressuring.
Instead of using the ‘Reverse’ for the Ultimate Break, alternately, you can use the ‘Reverse’ cards as 15k attackers and lockers for a strong midgame.
If you want to win using this card's Ultimate Break, in a fast time, you have to:
1. Break ride this unit on top of Star-vader, Infinite Zero Dragon to give your opponent two locked units.
2. Call a ‘Reverse’ unit to lock one of your opponent’s rear-guard.
3. Use Cold Death Dragon's ability to lock another.
4. Use another Cold Death to lock your opponent’s last unit.
5. Omega Lock your opponent's rear-guards.
6. At the beginning of your main phase, if your opponent doesn't unlock any locked card, you will win with this unit's Ultimate Break.
Combos with other cards:
Most players would break ride this unit on top of Star-vader, Infinite Zero Dragon. This means that two of your opponent's rear-guards have already been locked because of the break ride.
You will need a back-up in case Glendios doesn’t go to your hand. Reverse Cradle would be that back-up. 1. He is a Link Joker(If you ride a ‘Reverse’ it will be lord restricted) 2. He is also a ‘Reverse’, can be used by Glendios 3. Just like Glendios, he also takes advantage of ‘Reverse’ units, so he’s really good.
It’s always a pain getting ‘Reverse’ unit into your hand. This guy will be useful for that purpose, and you’re opponent has to guard or you will get to activate his skill. It would be ideal to ride him as you G2 vanguard.
What if you’re opponent doesn’t want to call any units? Problem solved. This guy will give your opponent a cold death, forcing them to call their top card to a rear-guard and lock it. In a way it makes your opponent deck out faster.
Glendios’ skill will make you discard ‘Reverse’ units. To get them back from the drop zone, you can use her skill at a low cost. Cheap.
Who needs perfect guards when you have this guy(Girl?). The skill diverts your opponent’s attack to a ‘Reverse’ rear-guard instead of the vanguard. You’re rear-guard gets destroyed but Glendios will be perfectly safe. Now you can call more ‘Reverse’ units because you have an open rear-guard. Very effective in messing with you’re opponent’s vanguard attack.
This guy is a good booster especially if you have more ‘Reverse’ units. It would be good if his power goes up to 10k so that when boosting your vanguard, the total will be 21k and you’re opponent has to guard more.
The damage unflipper. You should have at least two ‘Reverse’ units on your field before calling this guy. That way you will be able to unflip two damages. This guy is unique because his skill doesn’t require a soulblast.
The starting vanguard. In a Link Joker ‘Reverse’ build, it would be vital to have him because he allows you to discard ‘Reverse’ units to superior ride, lessening your chance of misride.
Ways to counteract it:
This card may be strong and all but is terrible when up against an unlocker. Units that can unlock are:
Goddess of Laws, Justitia
Knight of Drizzle, Bernard
Salvation Lion, Grand Ezel Scissors
Seal Dragon, Georgette
Stealth Beast, Metamorfox
Gravity Bolt Dragon
Knight of Extravagance, Toulouse
Sanctuary of Light, Brightness Dragon
Or against the king of all knights which is none other than Alfred or more specifically: Liberator, Monarch Sanctuary Alfred who can 'Liberate The Lock'.
One simple way of stopping this guy: DON’T LET HIM ULTIMATE BREAK. Don’t give him the fifth damage he needs for the ultimate break. The omega lock will eventually stop because you’re opponent will eventually run out of counterblasts and ‘Reverse’ units.
It would also be a good idea if you don’t have a full field so that not all your unit gets locked therefore you will have some open rear-guards.
Glendios’ strength will depend on how many ‘Reverse’ units you run. The more the better but you should avoid putting too many otherwise your deck will be unbalance due to the many G3s and you will be grade locked. Ironic.
Often limit breaks give power boost. Not this guy (Even though he has TWO Limit Breaks). This will hinder you when you want you're opponent to defend more and use up more shields, cards.
Another problem is getting the 'Reverse' unit into your hand, and you're going to need quite a few of them to consistently use Glendios' skill.
You can find this card in Booster Set 15: Infinite Rebirth - BT15/000. A triple reverse rare (ЯЯЯ) and it's rarest card there is. The chances of obtaining this card from the booster set is incredibly low so it was also released as a Promo Cards - PR/0188. Well, my friend got this so yeah, lucky him.
Artwork and aesthetics:
The artwork is really nice and it shows Glendios in deep space (that's common for any Link Joker units) looking all invincible and power hungry with all that purple energy flowing through…….no wonder he's called the doomsday weapon.
I would give this card 9/10 mainly because of the Omega Lock, a skill that at the moment, only he has and it's really cool. His skill is pretty balance, not too strong and also not too weak.
