Deck "There is good in him"

Deck "There is good in him"
Format: Light Side - 60 Cards

I start with heading for the medical frigate, i feel the conflict, superficial damage, insurrection and staging area. In my first turn i move luke to the docking bay so i can get a 2 force drain and increase my force generation.

When i first played this deck it did so well i was ending up with characters i was not using and extra force in my force pile, so i made the change to lightsabers and superficial damage. Maybe i was not playing the right decks though. The only problem i usually have is getting my jedi out who need the jedi chamber.

I love this deck because it focuses on battling and if you win enough battles and vader is escorting luke then you can end the game.

I have always liked "Jar Jar Bink's" with "Brisky Morning Munchen", not a big fan of "General Jar Jar". I use to always start with "Brisky Morning Munchen" as a starting effect, and get Jar Jar out my first turn to force drain a lil, and from I read on his card you can play him anywhere, also I like his ability to target characters not droids. But looking at your deck a lot of cards a low destiny which can hurt a little, but a lot of them big hitters just don't need it. I like the minim locations, deploy at chamber, go to docking bay, transit out. with the Objective card you are using doesn't it mean you need to have those endor cards in your deck to? I had a look couldn't see them.

If Briskly Morning Munchen was immune to alter, i would definitely use that card to start. Still a good idea to start with it and get him out to start the game. I use General Jar Jar to increase my odds and flexibility of using Rebel Leadership. Yeah with trying to make a strong battle deck it is hard to avoid those low destinies. I could switch out Daughter of Skywalker for Princess Leia. I tried the best i could to equal it out, i think there are 8 destiny 5's and 6 destiny 4's. Not sure how i missed the starting locations, good catch. Its fixed, took out extra Obi Wan and Qui-Gon. I have this deck except for a few cards, like Fambaa and the extra Obi Wan and Qui-Gon, i guess it messed with my count. Thanks for your comment and vote.

Maybe I just missed Rogue 3, but I didn't think I saw it in there and Commander Wedge is relatively weak without it. You know, as long as you have Jedi Masters in the deck, Ewoks get pretty crazy (Power +1 per Light Force icon present. If you have 5 Jedi, they get +5 power). That may also justify Ewok Catapult (destiny 7). Either way, dropping that Wedge for something with higher destiny would definitely be a good idea if you want to hit things.

Is the generic Docking Bay in there as a reaction to other decks? If I remember correctly, you can only play them to systems that already have at least one location already out, so if you are using it to move between Endor and Coruscant, you would be much better off finding the Coruscant Docking Bay.

I am really loving this site. Most of the decks people post are very interesting, and this one gave me some ideas for a deck I already have but have not had a chance to play in years.

Subject: Wedge   Posted: December 21, 2010 06:54 pm

I have Commander Wedge in there because he is a power 3 who also adds power 3 to anything he pilots and has a great deploy and forfiet. I consider destiny 3's pretty good when looking for powerful charcters. If there is a better all around charater out there for this deck please let me know, because he was the best i could find.

I did not know that about space port, so I will have to change that (and some other things in my other decks). I definetly do not know all the rules, so thanks for letting me know that.

That is a great idea with the jedi and ewoks. I doubt someone would attack a site with 5 jedi master and some roided ewoks, but i could see that working great with a master at each site and using ewok celebration. I will probably look at what kind of deck i could make with those combinations. Thanks for the idea and impute.

Subject: Wedge alternatives   Posted: December 21, 2010 07:25 pm

Of the three versions of Wedge, I personally think the Commander is the worst version. Wedge Antilles from New Hope is weaker on ground but has a 4 destiny, while Red Squadron Leader from Death Star has a two destiny but when he is with a Red or Rogue pilot (which I think Luke's persona counts as; it may just be Commander Luke) he can cancel a battle destiny once per turn. This works on ground and in space, so he works nicely in both places. (I don't see a lot of space in there.)

This would also help against Dark Side ground decks, such as Court of the Vile Gangster, Agents of Black Sun, or Ralltiir Operations. The former two of these are important because they do not use a lot of Imperials and your deck will therefore have little to do except combat.

Subject: Wedge   Posted: December 22, 2010 10:04 pm

Well on second thought i will go with wedge antilles because he is destiny 4 with a 2 deploy and 6 (8 really because of insurrection) forfeit. I have plenty of high power characters in there so i would like to keep the destinies high if i can. Really though i settled on wedge because i could not think of a different good all around character, so if you have suggestions for other characters i could use that are equal or better than wedge in all around use please let me know.
