Otherwise, you'd be wasting space that could be replaced by cards to benefit your Wizard (or Witch) of choice for the starting character. I haven't tried multiples of Starting Characters, so I am not sure how they'd work together. I do use supporting characters such as Peeves, McGonigle, Dumbledore, etc - but their card lore usually backs up your starting character. At least you have the correct number of cards in your deck. I hope you enjoy the game.
