Well this deck is still experimental, but has great potential against non-Meta and other slower pace decks. Here are some combos:

1. The most devastating is the - The Immortal of Thunder + Spell of Pain. Flip effect on TIOT gains you 3000 life points. Now send this card to the graveyard with a card effect or battle and you lose 5000 life points. But wait, Spell of Pain deliveries that to your opponent instead for a huge hit!

2. Another combo - Spell of Pain + Number 30 Acid Golem. 2000 pt pop to your opponent instead of detaching or taking the hit yourself.

3. Of course the main combo - Gift cards + Nurse Reficule the Fallen One or Bad Reaction to Simochi. Super quick, wicked knock out!

4. 2X Lava Golem for a 1000 pop every opponent's stand-by. Even better than that, you can get rid of those pesky, hard to kill monsters on your opponent's side with the special summon tribute. Hard to xyz or sync summon at least on the opponent's next turn.

5. 2 Marshmallons - Of course we know what they can do. 1000 pop if opponent attacks facedown and cannot be killed on battle. Great stall card.

6. 3X giant germ & Secret barrels to deplete life points even more.

7. Morphing jar reloads your hand and usually finishes off the opponent on your next turn. Need I say more?

8. Last but not least, the Mecca of this deck in my opinion (sort of a reload card for monsters). Metaion, the Timelord - virtually cannot be destroyed and gets shuffled back into your deck to use again. It returns all monster cards to the hand for a 300 per monster pop. Nice!

skill drain with needle worm?
What are you trying to do there?
otherwise not a bad build to restrict your opponent but you have to last more than 2 turns to win especially with decks that field cards quickly.

Subject: on The Immortal of Thunder   Posted: December 7, 2012 03:07 pm

I tried making a deck like this once, and I had tried using The Immortal of Thunder in combination with Spell of Pain/The Barrel Behind the Door, and was disappointed when directed to a ruling page (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Card_Rulings:The_Immortal_of_Thunder) which explained that when your life points are decreased by 5000 due to the effect of The Immortal of Thunder, it is not considered effect damage. This means that you cannot deflect the damage onto your opponent via card effects like Spell of Pain and The Barrel Behind the Door because they only deal with effect damage. I was also dissapointed in the same way with the card Lucky Punch. One interesting thing among the rulings to note, though is that if The Immortal of Thunder is face-down when destroyed, you don't lose life points, so you can set the card without fear of losing life points due to a Dark Hole and you can also flip summon it to gain 3000 and then use Book of Moon to save yourself the damage. One more thing is that it must be sent from field to grave to activate, so you can use another level 4 monster and perform an Xyz summon with it. When Xyz materials are detached, it isn't considered being sent from field to grave (that's why Sangan doesn't activate when sent as a detached Xyz material), so you can flip The Immortal of Thunder to gain life points and then Xyz summon to save yourself from the damage. Overall it's a fun card, but you need to know how to use it.
