because not all decks need 4 pg if your deck like angel feather can swap out for good guard power then 3 pg is just fine

Also 4 pg aren't in my play style they clog my deck and if i ride it i'm already down 1 since its angel feather there was no need to max it out .w. also 4 pg doesn't make it a deck of the week worthy material alone -.-"

There is literally no reason to not run 4.

What the hell do they clog? They're a 6k booster that you can ride. And you're Angel Feather for god's sake, if your hand gets "clogged" just shove it in your damage! Perfect Guards are the best cards in the game, there is a reason that they're the most expensive part of a deck, and why their rules limit them to 4.

i dont want to run 4 for the risk i have to ride 1 of them thus the reason i say "clog" and like i said i use it accustomed to my play style which i like to utilize a deck and there is no reason not to run 4 pg .w. this could go either way in this convo and any skilled deck builder can argue that a 4 pg deck is a great deck and a deck less is a bad deck to.

somebody tried to give the 100% fact that 4 pgs are good. but! it may not be in the players play style, also and skilled deck builder will know the appropriate time to run 3 such as angel feather clan they can just cycle it in and out their hand. Also this could stop a unit to use skills that can help in a deck. also it can clog a hand in the case of riding it which will render it skills useless. but you already covered it. And to the angel feather clan you quoted on we do 3 so we can use more abilities that can buff a vanguard. there is no real big disadvantage of running 3 other than the fact it has a less chance of getting in your hand. i see no real need to run 4 of them in certain decks and in others i do see a need so its a pro and con situation. Also 4 really doesn't hit my play style and it basically depends on the person.

lul what? The REASON not to run 4 and WHY they clog is exactly due to what you said. They're a vanilla 6K booster when on the field. If you're building your deck already knowing that once a game you're likely going to lose a PG to grade 1 ride/a needy field, why should that card be a 6k vanilla when it could actually be something useful?

Beyond that they tend to be a hinderance when your hand isn't very large. When running 4 if none of the other instances occur where that extra PG doesn't get to be used, you end up having to discard a PG anyway for another PG!

PG's are hardly the best cards in the game, they're utility. That's like trying to argue triggers are the best cards in the game. You need a good balance of synergy between ALL of your tools to win the game. The fact of the matter is there are plenty of decks that topped and even won regionals with 3 and one deck that won only had TWO PG.
