Deck "ApocalypticCataclysmOfTimeburn" - 40 Cards for Duel Masters

Ultimate F/N Mana Burn

Watch and learn Kintaro!

Oh I love this deck, any deck can have serious problems against this deck since there are no card (except Snork La, which after all easily can be destroyed) that prevents mana destruction!

The strat (optimal opening):

Turn 2: Essence Elf (gives a lot of opportunities because of the amount of spells in the deck)

Turn 3: Mana Crisis (if Elf is present) or BAT (if Elf isnt not present or Crisis dont appear)

Turn 4: Reap and Sow (If Elf is present or BAT is played)

Turn 5: Bolzard

Turn 6: Crisis/Reap and Sow (makes an aggressive 2 mana destruction together with Bolzard)

Second opening (almost as good):

Turn 3: BAT

Turn 4: Reap and Sow

Turn 5: Bolzard/Agitator

Turn 6: Crisis/Reap and Sow (makes an aggressive 2 mana destruction together with Bolzard/Agitator)

From now on u might have game... there are many great late game opportunities like bombazar, cryptic and/or the evos, 12 one-of-a-kind-cards are making the late game strat of this deck very versatile, capable of dealing with most late game situations, especially when the opponent is having a mana issue. The only weakness of the early strat is that if bolzard hits a removal trigger, the game can easily be screwed up (especially by a non-bouncing trigger like pit or snare), making this deck very sensitive. Thats why it is important to build on the mana destruction with fortress or agitator, keeping the opponent away from getting a late comeback. Summoning cryptic can make the final attack possible as the opponent shouldnt have the amount of mana to remove (other that spiral and maybe swap) it from the field, at least not kill it.
The point is to keep controlling the game until a final attack is possible. The deck might control the game pretty much at this point as the mana acceleration (BAT, Wind Axe and Reap and Sow) works as some kind of draw power - we are allowed considering to summon our cards without putting down mana at the start of the turn. The amount of destruction cards in the deck should keep the opponent from having field control/presence.
Vise is good because the opponent might in most cases summon his most cheap and weak guys, trying to bash throw.
Eruption is just good for fire/nature mana burn if ive got some Elfs and/or BATs on the field. Just having about 2 nature guys will destroy further 2 mana which is insane in those cases where we have summoned crisis or reap and sow earlier. Fortress is easier to play even though it requires 1 more mana - no field presence needed to furthermore extend the game, frustrating the opponent. Anoter nice extender is Agitator.
Dimension Gate is very important for late game (but can ofc be used as an early 3-drop aswell) because it easily can win the game giving the needed trumpf card - the best part is that the opponent often cant even predict the summoning of it as the mana amount in late game for this deck is very high. Soulswap is cool in late game too and works well with the non-evo high cost game-ender-guys like scarlet, bombazar and cryptic. It combos very well with fortress too - making a very aggressive and sudden mana burn for only 3 mana (or less if Elf's present). Swapping scarlet and evolving him is a timeburning move which might make every deck without tons of removal triggers collapsing totally But ofc cutthroat is easier used as evo bait in late game. Besides he creates a nice suprise attack moment against rush or aggro as we dont have blockers to defend. Together with Rothus and the 9 triggers in the deck he makes it a lot easier to counter a rush/aggro (which doesnt care much about mana burn ofc) or just attacks in general.
Earth Ripper is very underrated in a deck with nice mana accel, i like him because there is great bait for him and he can actually bring back cards that we by summoning Reap and Sow, BAT and Wind Axe were forced to use as mana. Ofc he should only be summoned in late game and it is important that he is the first creature to be summoned in the current turn - we dont wanna lose more than four mana.
Volcano creates a nice mana accel and helps getting the early field control, which is nesessary before focusing 100% on mana burn - a balance that might seem difficult, but the choice between field removal and mana burn should be present in this deck to get it working properly.
Sky Crusher is underrated in mana burn - but destroying our own mana isnt that bad if u get some BATs out - and in most cases the penalty should be worth the benefits/advantages of the mana burn. Besides he doesnt need to break like bolzard, removing being the troublesome being sensitive-to-removal-triggers-part explained earlier

Changelog: -2 Boulders, -1 Rebirth, -1 BAT, -1 Rothus, -1 Bomber, -1 Dimension, -1 Bomba, +2 Tornados, +2 Fortresses, +1 Agitator, +1 Volcano, +1 Swap, +1 Twin-Cannon

Considerations: Volcano><Tornado, Dimesion><Swap, Bomba><Twin

Hope u liked it

September 16, 2014: Insert cards in your text!
When posting your comments in our forums and discussions many times you talk about cards that your readers may not know by heart. Now you can make all the details and info about a card accessible whenever you mention it with a new tag that you can generate automatically by using the form at the top of your text area:

Form to insert a card name or image in your text

This will insert the card's name or image and will show all the info about that card when you hover your mouse over that name or image, like this:

Card details being shown when you place your cursor over the card's name

The name is also a link to the details page for that card.

June 24, 2014: Average card prices
As you know, we already offer price data for most cards: in the card details window you can see the minimum, average and maximum price for the card, retrieved from multiple online stores. Up until now, though, you had to click on each card to check its price.

Now we are showing the average price value on card lists so that you can see this data without having to click on each card and so that it's easier for you to compare prices among different cards. You can see this information in your haves and wants and in other members' collections. This is also very useful when adding cards to a trade.

Furthermore we are also showing the total average price for decks by adding up the average prices of all the individual cards. We are also doing this for trades. So you can now see the cost of building a deck, and the total value of the cards sent and received in a Tracked Trade.

This feature is currently available for the following games: Magic, Pokemon, Yugioh, Cardfight Vanguard, World of Warcraft, and Redakai.
If you want prices to be displayed for any other game you may want to contact our price data provider (TCGPlayer.com) here. If many people request it they might work on adding your game to their database.

April 18, 2014: Business cards for everyone!
As you know, you can design your own customized business cards to print them out or to share them on the web. These cards include information about your levels, number of references, or years on the site. Now we have made them so that they update themselves automatically. This way you can post them in forums or other sites and will always show the most current data about you and your progress on our site.

Just go to the card design form and copy the new share codes. Use them in your forum signatures or as your avatar and they will always show your correct data.

We have also added new templates for the latest popular games:

March 23, 2014: Detailed card lists
When searching for cards you can now list all the details for each card so that you have all the information displayed at the same time.

New detailed format for lists of cards in our searches

This way it's easier to identify the cards you are interested in when searching our database, or other users' lists, or when looking for cards to add to your decks.
